Hey, what's up everyone? Today's video, we're going to be talking about Loom, and that is loom.com, not the machine for making wool. So in today's video, I want to dive into, first of all, what is Loom, what can it do for you, and then I'm going to show you how it works. And then we're going to talk about why it is something that I think every business owner absolutely needs to have. So if you clicked on this video, there's a reason for it. You probably don't currently have Loom and you're doing some research about what it actually is. First of all, let's go ahead. I'm already logged into my Loom, so I'm going to go in an incognito window just to bring up their website to show you here. Now, first of all, I am an affiliate with Loom, so if you want to show some love in the link with this video, if you go ahead and click the link there, I'll get a couple points on it if you do buy it through that link. Again, thank you for watching the video. Here it is, Show It, Say It, Send It. Very much what Loom is, is a tool, a resource that is something that can be installed on your website, on your mobile device. It uses a browser extension, which we'll show you in just a few moments, but allows you to record your screen. It allows you to record your camera or both at the same time. And very lightweight, allows you to send out a link to share. You can password protect your videos. You can publicly post them. You can download them. Pretty much anything you wanna do when it comes to creating content, Loom is something that should be used in your toolbox. Again, that is what it is. We'll come back to this in just a few moments after I show you how the system works. Let's go ahead and go into my Loom account here. When you're in your actual Loom account on the browser, it shows you your library. Within your library, you've got all the videos that you recorded. You can create folders in here. You can go ahead and archive. You've got screenshots that you could actually add in there. But really, it's very lightweight in how that works. You've got a button here for new video. If you click on that, you can say you can record a video or you can upload a video. So you love the distribution method of what it can do for you. Maybe you have a video that you shot on your phone that you want to actually share out to someone or on your team. You can actually upload that directly to the system and not have to just record with it. Now, when you have the browser extension installed, it's gonna show up with the Loom icon up here. I'm using Google Chrome at the moment, so that is how I use it most of the time, is using the browser extension. I did mention in the opening of the video that you can actually install the desktop version, at which point it'll show up across the top as one of the icons. Now, I don't have it installed on this computer that I'm recording on just because I don't need it on this. I use the browser extension. So let's go ahead and do that. Now I'm not recording this training video using Loom because I wanted to show how it's used, so I'm using a third-party screen sharing recording system for this. Now when it comes up, very light to use. You've got a dropdown at the top here where you can choose what do you want to record, and you can record using your screen and your camera. As you see in the bottom left, there I am. Hey, how's it going? You could do your screen only, which gets rid of the camera. Or you can go Camera Only, which is really cool because now you can record full-screen video. Now here's the thing that kind of throws people off when they do it the first time. When you are recording with Camera Only, it's going to show as a circle here. You can actually drag this around and you've got these three dots where you can actually increase the size of the video. So you pull it around. But when you actually download the video or you share the video after, it is a full-screen video. This just allows you to do that. Why? Well, because maybe you want to go ahead and record with a teleprompter. You go get a free teleprompter, go to the free teleprompter website, put in your script there, and you want to record full video. Then you can go ahead and run that in a browser in behind, keep your video to the side, and then have that full video. So it has that ability so it doesn't take over the full screen. In reality, who wants to look at themselves when they're recording a full-screen video? I know I don't, a bit of a distraction. So that's the option there. A lot of times I'm just gonna do a screen-only recording. And then down below you've got your options for your audio. Now I'm using a USB microphone here with a USB codec into my computer. I could use my built-in microphone. So you can switch between multiple microphones that you have. And then you got recording settings. Your advanced settings down here, you could say use photo for screen only, which means that if I did screen only and I turn that on, it's going to use my photo or headshot of myself with the video. It's going to overlay that on the recording. Control menu, I can turn that on. So down in the very bottom, as I'm recording, I'm actually seeing the control menu in here. Recording countdown, so when I hit record, what it's going to do is going to count down 3, 2, 1, and then record. And then do you want to see or not see the recording time? That's there. So I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to hit Start Recording, and hopefully this doesn't interfere with my other recording system. I don't think it will, but we'll see how this goes. So we're going to go here. It's going to come up and it's going to say, okay, what do you want to share? Because I did that screen sharing option. I can do the entire screen, so I've got two screens here and chooses between the two. I could choose a window, so any one of the tabs that I have open— or sorry, the windows that I have open. Or I could specifically pick a browser tab. Keeping in mind that if you, let's say you are doing a window or a tab and you're demoing something that has a popup over top, that's not going to get recorded because it's only trying to record that window or that tab. So if you're doing that, you want to go ahead and do the entire screen as an option. So let's go ahead and we're going to click Share. It's going to count down here. 3, 2, 1. 1, and then I could go ahead and record the video, right? So I'm going to go through, I can show a bunch of different things here, just like you're seeing that, um, just like that. And then what I normally do is I go ahead and I just click the icon at the top here, which just stops that recording. And then here we go, there's the, the recorded video that I just did. Now you can title it, so Test Recording of Loom down below. Then as you go through here, you've got some other options. You got your video preferences. This is more so when you're sharing it, so you can turn off comments, email notifications, record a reply. This is a really cool feature. If somebody actually sees this, they could actually record a video comment back to you versus just emailing back. You've got your animated thumbnail, Loom branded player. You got a lot of options that are here. Show the analytics to the end user. And so forth. You've got your Review Your Transcript here. It does transcribe the video as you are recording, so you can see that. You can trim your clips. It's got a very basic video editor in here that I could go actually and trim out the opening because a lot of times you're going to hit record and maybe you're going to think, but you'll probably more so need to trim the back end of the video because that's usually where you stop talking and then you fumble around a couple times to find that icon at the top to actually stop the recording. So that's the issue. You can actually take the video and then you can say, okay, let's add another clip here. So we can go up and we can pull in one of our other videos. This is where the ability to upload a video is great because let's say you are doing some prospecting videos and you want to send it out to them. Like I said, you could have a sales funnel where you're following up with people or maybe doing some cold prospecting. Bring up their LinkedIn profile or their website. On the side and be like, "Hey, Mr. Jones," or "Hey, Mrs. Jones, I'm just checking out your website here and here's some suggestions," or "Here's who I am, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I've actually got a quick 3-4 minute video about what I could do for you and your company and I want to show it to you." And then you can actually upload a clip in here. The idea is you record that opening bit that is very specific to them and then you just pull from your library and add that clip in there. Automatically, and then you can share that out. So really, you're kind of editing a quick video together that way. So we can save, we can revert to the original, or we can undo any of the changes that we have. So let's hit save on that video just like that. The transcription is reprocessing for obvious reasons. You may have cut out some text that's in there, so we'll just let that do its thing. Call to action. So in here, you can actually put in a link. So at the very end of the video, you could go ahead and put in a link to do whatever. It could be a URL to a landing page, to your website, whatever the case is. You can change the color and you can change the way that it looks just like that. That's a really cool feature to add into your Loom videos. Again, your thumbnail, just like anything else, you don't always want the thumbnail that it gives you. You can upload something, design it in Canva, put it in here. Really, it gives you a full suite of video tools to be able to leverage a lot of this content, online in your account. So, uh, you know, if you're using something like Wistia or Vimeo, maybe you've got, you know, some help desk articles that you're building, uh, or, you know, you got some training that you want to do. You could essentially use Loom for this whole thing. If you want to deliver, you know, training videos, connect it with your, your, um, email marketing system. Maybe you're a Keap user. We're Keap certified. That's why I recommend that., and you want to send out videos that are password protected, you can include the password and send that out to them as well. Okay, so once you've got that done, right, we're going to close that, we're not going to add that thumbnail, then you've got the option to share it out. So you can click share here and you can add people, send them an email, you can set your privacy settings that are here, you can actually change the time in which you want them to to see the video. So let's say you do a 30-minute video and somebody calls you and says, hey, you know, how do I do this? And you know it's in there at like 11 minutes and 38 seconds. You go in here and actually, you know, change that time and actually put it in. So it's going to be the time in which you're in the video. You can't actually type it in, but when you find that point, check it out, and then the link that you're going to copy with them is going to go right to that point. Your social, you can share it to LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Gmail directly. Or you can embed it like I mentioned. You can embed it right in as a responsive size or you can put a fixed size in here if you choose to do so. Under your more options in here you can duplicate the video. Maybe you have that video where you started to edit a couple clips together. You're going to duplicate that, cut the front one off and record a new opening. Maybe the backend stuff is all great, no problem. You can archive it so it's not accessible publicly in your directory., but you still don't want to get rid of it, you can delete it. And then obviously you can download it. It's just going to go like this, and then it's going to download the video to your computer, and you can go ahead and, you know, view that video. A lot of times, because I'm actually building out my YouTube channel, which is this video right here, um, I'll record something if I'm showing a demo, um, using Loom, and then I'll download the video and then upload it over to my YouTube account versus using a different tool for that if it's really quick and clean and allows you to do that kind of thing. You'll see up here in the top left-hand corner it says Continue Watching on Mobile. They do have a mobile app, which is great. A lot of times I've got clients that are needing help developing different things, so developing training on mobile apps, social media, While it's not easy to share your phone to your computer and then do a Loom or any type of screen recording, having the mobile app allows me to record right on my mobile device and then that video is automatically synced to this account and then I can pull it into different elements that are in there. That is using Loom. I absolutely love it. I think it's a great tool for you. Now let's go ahead and pull over their website. Again, and let's look at what your options are. Let's look at the pricing. Now there are really 3 packages that are here. For most business owners, you're going to fall in the middle one, very obvious. Starter, great to get your feet wet a couple of times, but you're really going to max out on your 25 videos per person limit that's here. You can get started with it, but once you hit 25 videos, the only way to record any more is to delete some of the videos that are here. These are 25 active videos. And again, 5-minute video length is your max that you can do with that. But going up to that business package here, it's only $8 a month per user. So if it's just you, $8 US a month gives you all these features. Unlimited creators, so you can, you know, add as many paid creators to the account. Obviously you pay per creator, but you have the unlimited amount you can add that's there. Unlimited videos, you're never going to pay anything more for extra videos that you have. Unlimited recording length, you want to record a 3-hour video, you can do that, no problem. And then upload up to 50 Creators Lite. These are members that are free, and it says here you get 25 videos, each of them up to 5 minutes. So when you are actually adding somebody, you're adding a free version that's over here, so they get all this, but they get to be added under your business workspace that's in there. So they can see videos you share with them, their videos can be shared with you, It's all within that whole system that's there. You've got some custom branding so you can change the colors, you can put your logos and stuff. You've got the option for password protecting your video uploads, which is not in the free. You can embed the videos. As we come down here, this is where it really kind of the rubber meets the road and shows you that whole pricing table option that's there. Video quality, 4K, up to 4K. You've got your screen recording bubble. A lot of this is all the same that's here. But you've got your drawing tools, your mouse emphasis, your custom recording dimensions, do not disturb options, which means that when you're recording, you can turn it on so that it doesn't turn on your notifications so you don't get things popping into your screen when you're recording. The difference between the two, you got the embed links in the video. You can't do that in the free. Custom video thumbnails, again, can't do that. The branding, the logos to your video page, customizing the colors of your video page. Video uploads, search, engagement insights, all that kind of stuff, right? So all these things, and you can look this all up on the website, is all part of that. Now if you need to go even higher from enterprise, enterprise level, you know, this is for somebody who's got a massive team and really the whole company is on that. So that is the pricing options that are there. So let's hop back over here just before we wrap up the video. Let's go look at the, at the settings of what we can do in here. So in here we've got the options for, you know, our account, our notifications. So you can turn on your email or desktop or mobile notifications. You can get notified anytime somebody views a video or comments on a video. And again, you've got full control over what you want to have happen there. And then your integrations— what do you want to integrate with? So there's a bunch of different systems that are here that you can actually integrate your Loom with for doing that. Under your workspace, this is where you can upload your logo, you know, for new memberships, have, you know, creations of all these different elements that are in here. Your appearance, this is where you can go ahead and change your video player, pick the color, upload the logo for the share, white labels so you can, you know, show Loom branding that's there. You can turn that off, you don't have to have that. So I don't mind the fact that it's on ours. And then your data here, so you can download CSV of all your data and your integrations like I just mentioned here if you want to integrate with different systems. So automatically import future Zoom cloud recordings to Loom. This is coming soon. This is great. You're going on Zoom, you know, another great tool that everybody should have, but you'll be able to integrate that full into, into Loom for sharing. And then Slack if you want to communicate via Slack. So that is my walkthrough of Loom. Like I mentioned, absolutely a must-have for any business when it comes to prospecting, training, follow-ups, everything like that. The link to, um, you know, clicking on my affiliate link in the description of this video. Go ahead and do that. Get yourself a paid business account. You will thank me for that. Your clients will thank me. Your prospects will be amazed. I mean, the amount of time savings that you will have with what you are doing will be phenomenal. So like and subscribe to the channel if you like this video and more that are on here. I love creating this for you. Have a great day growing your business.
