I'm going to ask you this question right now. Do you know when your domain expires? If you do, great, you don't need to watch this video. But if you don't, I'm going to show you exactly where you can go right now on your computer to find that out. You're going to go to a website called whois.com. In the top right-hand corner, you're going to go ahead and you're going to type in your domain address, and you're going to click the button that says Whois. This is going to show you the registered information about your domain. Some key information in here of when it was registered, but most importantly, when does it expire? Why would you need to know this? Well, if your domain expires and you don't renew it, and for multiple reasons this can happen, whether your, your payment information is not valid or the contact information that is on the registered service where your domain was purchased is out of date, you're not going to get notified. And when it expires, somebody can snatch it up. And when they do, well, most cases they're going to take over that and put a malicious site up there, or they're going to, um, you know, be your competition and take your domain and point your domain to them. Uh, but a lot of things can happen. You're going to want to make sure that you know where this is. Now, if you do, you're going to ask yourself, do I know how to access this? If you do, great. Stop watching the video again. But if you don't, you're going to need to start by looking at who might know this. Most commonly, it might be your web developer who built your website, or it could be, uh, you know, a coworker or a team member or a partner that helped you register all this. But you're going to need to find that out because if your website goes offline, all that hard work, all that money, all that SEO and stuff that you've spent time getting your reputation up with your online presence will basically go out the window. And then you're going to have to get a new domain and basically start over. So go to this website, it's a great resource to just know this information. And if you have any questions or comments, please leave it below the video and I'd be happy to answer those for you.
