Shaun Whynacht shows how to use the Infusionsoft Landing Pages WordPress plugin to create branded redirects. Set a slug and target URL, and bluecowmarketing.ca/behind-the-scenes instantly forwards to your video or PDF. Update destinations by editing the plugin entry.

Hey, it's Shaun here with Blue Cow Marketing. This impromptu tip, I guess what we're going to call it here, came about because I was using a plugin for a different reason than what it was intended, and I thought, hey, you know what, this works, and I think a lot of people would be able to do this in their business. Now the first thing, the first caveat here is you have to have a WordPress site for this because it is a WordPress plugin. So what I'm going to do here, if you're familiar with WordPress, you know where to go to install plugins, and we're just going to go and add a new plugin. Now I already have it installed, but I'm just going to show you what to search for. This is looking for Infusionsoft. If you just search for this, you don't have to be an Infusionsoft user to use this. And we're going to look for this one here called Infusionsoft Landing Pages. Now all this plugin really is is a redirect, but it allows you to redirect off of your domain. So what I mean by this is let's say I've got this video right here. That I've created. It's just a behind-the-scenes video, and I want to use this in marketing or be able to direct people to it. Now, if you don't want to have to embed it into your site and all that kind of stuff, you just want to take people to your video, then what you want to do is you want to copy this URL to the clipboard. So you're just going to go Edit, Copy, or Command+C or Control+C, whatever it is on, on your computer. And then once you have this plugin installed, you go to settings and Infusionsoft landing pages. Now here's the thing. What it allows you to do is it allows you to create these redirects. So active, yes. The mode is an embed iframe or redirect. In this case, it is a redirect. And the slug, this is what comes after your domain. So in our case, bluecowmarketing.ca, and I'm going to do behind the scenes. So that's what I'd want people to put in there. Now I'm going to paste in that URL and I'm going to say add landing page. And don't get caught up on the term landing page. All we're doing is putting in a redirect. So now let's give it a try. We're going to go to— let's just go to Google just so we know it's not kind of messing us up here. So Blue Cow Marketing slash behind the scenes. And what it's going to do, you're going to watch this quickly. It's going to quickly hit it and redirect it right over to the behind-the-scenes video. Now, what else can you use this for? Well, what we used it for, for a client, was to direct people to their client manual PDF. So they had their domain slash manual, and if people went to that or they linked it out on social media, it would actually go to that media PDF within their WordPress site. So instead of posting that ugly long URL that everybody hates to see or see in social media, you can have now some branded clean URL. So This plugin, the landing page, Infusionsoft landing page plugin, has multiple purposes outside of having just a use for Infusionsoft landing pages. And you can have multiples here. You can just keep building them up. And the other key thing is if you change the document, all you need to do is come back here, change this URL, and hit save, and now it's updated. So that's your tip for the day. If you like this video, like, share, comment, do what you need to to show us some love. Thanks for watching. I'm Shaun Whynacht with Blue Cow Marketing.
