Hey, friends, this is Shelly Hits, and I'm so excited to welcome you to the Hit Splits private podcast. This is going to be so much fun. You're going to get wisdom for writers. Like, you'll be able to go behind the scenes with me and learn, like, practical tips, but also encouragement. And this is coming from my 18 plus years of experience in publishing and online marketing so that you can move forward in God's call to write. Now, I used to do a hashtag on social media. If you followed me for long, this was years ago. I think 2016 maybe is when I was doing this. 2015, 2016. And I'd use the hashtag Hit Splits when I was sharing encouragement or specific tips. And I thought, let's bring that back. But in a podcast. And this, this is something that feels easy for me. It feels fun. And I was thinking today, like, how can I really add more value for you? But it can be quick, it can be easy and fun for me. But also, this is something you can consume at any time. You can be listening while you're washing your dishes, while you're exercising, while you're going on a walk, while you're commuting. And I want these to be short and impactful, and so I want them to be easy. I want it to be fun for both me and you. And to be honest, right now I'm sitting here in my pajamas in my living room, and I'm recording on my phone. I don't have my big fancy microphone. And I thought, you know what? I'm not going to worry about all of that. I'm not going to worry about doing my hair and having makeup on and everything. I'm just going to do what feels easy and fun for me, but is still high value for you and that you can fit into your lifestyle. And so I'm really excited about this. And, you know, God has just been working in my heart, in my life, to be like, Shelly, let's come back to the basics. And so what I want to encourage you today is whether you're in the process of writing your book or you're marketing your book, let's take a deep breath and say, okay, am I coming to God first and asking for his wisdom, or am I coming to other people first? Now, you're here on this podcast to get wisdom from me, and I really pray that God really helps you to get wisdom and understanding and tips and learn different things from this podcast. But if you're just doing only what I tell, you know, tell you to do, or recommend that you do that is not going to give you the best results. What's going to give you the best results in the end is saying, okay, Lord, these are the things people are doing. These are the things that they're recommending. What do you recommend? What do you have for. For me? And that's what I'm doing right now. For our marketing, to be honest, I just haven't felt like our marketing has been as congruent to who we really are, and I want to change some of that. So I'm coming back to saying, okay, Lord, you know, my mentors, you know, and the people that I'm learning from are saying to do it this way. And I have, you know, templates and different things that I can use, but what is it you want me to do? And so this podcast is actually as a result of that business meeting with God of just coming back and saying, okay, Lord, something feels off, Something doesn't feel right in my spirit, with the way that I've been doing marketing. And so show me how to move forward. And so I want you to hear my heart. I want you to. I want for us to connect. I want for God to be able to use this private podcast in a way that is significant in your life, to impact eternity, so that you can move forward in your call to write. Then your books, your blog posts, your social media posts, your emails are going to be impacting lives. It's a ripple effect. And so I'm just excited. I think this is going to be fun. Like I said, let's let it be fun. Let's let it be easy. And I'm going to bring my characteristic and energy and enthusiasm into this podcast, really just inspiring you to take action. Whether or not, like, today, I hope that this inspires you to take action, just to reflect on where you're at. And are you feeling like you're having to follow all the gurus or follow a certain pattern, or are you coming to the Lord and saying what's best for me, what's best for my audience, what's best for this book? What is it that you really want me to write on today in this social media post? I mean, even something as simple as that social media post that you're gonna share today, or a text you're gonna send or an email to your list asking the Lord, what is it? What is it that you want me to share today? And so I hope that this podcast blesses you. Um, we would love to hear from you. But I is a blessing to you. Let me just pray for you. So Lord, I just thank you for every writer that's listening right now. I just pray that you would just pour into them right now your love that just overcomes all fear. I just see a picture right now of each one of you just opening up almost like at the top of your head, like you're. There's an opening up into your mind and the Lord is just standing there pouring from a bucket. Pouring from a bucket. And it almost looks like it's water or some sort of liquid, but it's his love. Like he's just pouring that and it's coming into you right now because you're open to receiving. So Lord, we just pray that you just pour your love into each of these writers right now. I just pray that they would just open their hearts to you that whatever fears they have regarding writing, publishing or marketing their words and releasing them to the world, I mean it is a scary thing. There's so much resistance. I just pray God that you would just.

Overcome all of that with your love. Perfect love drives out fear. And so we just ask right now that your perfect love would drive out any fear that anyone listening right now has. And we just thank you Lord, that we can move forward in confidence with you, knowing that you are going to provide everything that we need and that you're going to provide the outcome, whatever that is, release us from any expectations of what it needs to look like.
