Shelley Hitz (host of the Hits Blitz podcast) encourages Christian authors to focus on small, everyday opportunities to share their books rather than only pursuing large launches. She shares brief testimonies from Christian Book Academy members (Megan’s conversation at a dentist office leading to library contacts; Pam giving a book to a neighbor that helped them) and leads a short prayer asking God to open "divine appointments" for Kingdom writers. The episode models taking small courageous steps of faith and watching for unexpected doors to open.

Welcome back to the Hits Blitz. This is Shelly Hits. And I just wanted to share today something that inspired me from our Christian Book Academy members private group. So one of our new members, Megan, was sharing that, you know, she had kind of been stalled in promoting her book and she joined. And just after two days, she said, consuming some of the content in one of our modules, she had seen her confidence grow and had a big win at her dentist office sharing about her book. And, you know, it just reminded me that so many times we focus on these big things like book launches and selling all these books and doing, you know, these big things. But what if we just focused on sharing with the people that we see every day about our book? You know, what if we just took the opportunity to do the little things and really just saw what God, you know, is going to do as we were just take those small, courageous steps of faith to look for those divine appointments. So CJ and I like to call them divine appointments, where it's like God sets us up, right? And, you know, he opens the doors. And last night at our prayer meeting for Christian Book Academy, we call it the war room prayer meeting, someone was asking for those doors to be open and the favor from God. And so we were praying for that. And so let me just pray for you, too. I want to just pray specifically that you recognize the small doors too, right? Not just the big ones, not just the opportunities to get, you know, to speak at an event or to do something big, but talking to your dentist, right? We had another member at our war room last night, Pam, mention that she had given one of her books to a neighbor. And that neighbor told her later it was just one specific page in that book, one specific topic of that book that really impacted her and helped her through a really hard time. So maybe, maybe God's even just giving you an open door to give a book to a neighbor. I mean, we always say books are door openers. So let me just pray for you. So, Lord, we just pray today for every Kingdom writer listening right now. I just pray that you would pour out your blessings upon their lives. And I just pray anyone who is already a published author, I just pray that you would shift their mindset to really just looking for every opportunity, whether it appears to be small or big, but that they would take those opportunities to share, whether it's their dentist or their neighbor or someone in their family, Lord, I just pray that you would do it. We thank you, Lord, for this in Jesus, powerful name. Amen. And I just wanted to tell you kind of the end of the story. Megan was saying that when she just was able to take that step of sharing with her dentist.
His assistant was really excited because she knows teachers and she's, you know, able to be connected with people who, you know, are in the school library or in the public library. And so just taking that one step of talking to her dentist has opened up all these other doors that she never even knew existed. So why not? Why not just ask the Lord to open these small doors as well and see what he can do when you take these courageous steps of faith? So just be looking this week and asking the Lord for that, those divine appointments. All right. I will see you on the next hit splits episode.
