#013 - You Are Doing a Great Job

Hey friends, Shelly hits here and I just had a welling up that I just needed to tell you you are doing a great job. I just want to encourage you. No matter how 2022 went for you, I want you to know that God sees you, that he loves you and that you are right where you need to be. The enemy of our souls wants us to believe that we need, we have failed, that we haven't done enough, that we need to do more, that we're not doing it right, that someone else is doing it better. And I just want you to know today that I am your biggest cheerleader and I want to encourage you to just receive God's love for you. Today he is looking at you and saying, my daughter, my son, you are who you are who I am well pleased with. And I see you and so I just want you to know that you're not alone. We are all in this together. And that God is not mad at you. You know, he. He is just looking on, on at you today with so much love, so much care, so much kindness. And he's inviting you into this grand adventure of writing, publishing and marketing your books. Right? It is a grand adventure. There are so many ups and downs, twists and turns. There are trials and hard times. There are, you know, the high points and the, you know, the times when you see how God is really using your words to impact lives. But I just wanted to keep this short and sweet today. Keep fighting the fight, keep running the race. Don't give up, don't let down. You know, God is with you. He has more for you in the kingdom of God. And I cannot wait to see what he does in each one of your lives this next year. As we approach this new year, it is so good to set aside some time for reflection on the past year and also just, you know, a time to have a business meeting with God. Just starting to plan for the next year. And the thing is you might just plan for the first quarter, you know, because things are so uncertain. We don't even know what's going to happen tomorrow, let alone, you know, next year. But you know, James says, don't say, you know, I'm going to do this and I'm going to do that. But say if the Lord wills, I will do this. So just have that open handed surrendered heart and say if the Lord wills, this is what the plan is. I always say plan and pencil because the Lord often changes, changes our course or he might just, you know, change up a little bit of how we do it or when we do it or whatever. But it is so good just to meet with him and to just hear from Him. Like you know, sometimes it's not even to receive a plan, it's to just receive his affirmation, to receive his love, to love him back. You know, it's a two way relationship and even related to our writing, publishing and marketing of our books, it can get so businesslike and devoid of emotion, right? And that's not what the Lord wants for us. He wants us to stay connected in intimacy and with him, in union with him. And so let me just pray for you, Lord, I just pray for all my kingdom writer friends. I just pray that you would just pour out an abundance of your love and your approval, your acceptance over them today, that they, they would just reject any lie, that they are not good enough, that they need to do more, that what happened in 2022 is a failure or that, you know, they're moving into 23 with regrets. Lord, just remove all of that. In Jesus name we command any darkness and anything from the enemy to just leave. And Lord, may you just fill them from the tip of their head to the bottom of their, their feet with your holy spirit, with your love, with your joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, faithfulness, self control. Lord, we just thank you for that you're with us all the time and that you're leading us, you're guiding us, but most importantly, you're loving us. We love because you first loved us. The sacrifice you made on the cross for us just, it just blows our minds. And so thank you Lord for that. And as we celebrate the coming of your birth and the entrance that Jesus made into this world, we just want to reflect on all that you have done for us. Thank you Lord. Lord, thank you Jesus. You are worthy of all our worship and all our praise. We just pray this in Jesus powerful name. Amen. Amen.
