Hey, friends, welcome back to the Hit Splits. And this week between Christmas and New Year's is often just a weird week. It just seems like hardly anyone is working or doing much, or it just. It just feels kind of like you're in this holding pattern, or you might be really busy with family and, you know, your kids are on break or your grandkids or whatever. But I really feel like this is a great time to stop and reflect. So I've done this the last couple of years, and I was just looking back over it, and it's a really good thing to even remind you, like, what has happened in previous years, because even a year or two later, it's easy to forget. But one of the things I do is just. I mean, it doesn't take long. You can probably set a timer for 15 minutes and be done. But if you want to take a little more time, that's up to you as well. But what I do is I start with the hard things. So the hard things that happened during the year, and I just list it out. I don't go into depth. You know, this isn't a novel. It is just kind of like a bullet list of. Like, these are the things that happened this year that were hard. And then I end with the good things, like the things that I'm grateful for, the things that went well. And even in a year that felt really, really hard, there's always things that I can list that went well. And it just helps me to reflect back and to see God's goodness in the midst of the pain or the hardship or the difficult times. And I also put my theme for the year if. If I feel like God has given me a theme. And in 2022, it was stay the course. And Galatians 6, 9 is kind of the scripture that goes along with that. Do not become weary in doing good, for if you do not give up, you will reap a harvest. Um. Or I. I mean, I don't. I'm not saying it exactly right, but for. At the proper time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up. I think that's the way it goes. But anyways, it has been a year, and if you've been listening, then you know some of the stuff financially. But I've also had health issues, and I saw a naturopath to help get my hormones balanced. I've had shoulder and neck issues, and I had this weird thing going on with my first rib that was really causing a lot of pain. And so it's just been Interesting. You know, with health and finances and all of that. Thankfully, relationships went well in 2022. And I'm just so glad that God has brought me through all of the things that I've went through in this year. My natural path has, you know, discharged me to like just a once a year checkup. She says I'm doing really well now. My shoulders are feeling better. They're not 100, but praise God. I ended up getting a whole different desk set up so that my posture can be better. And like, I've been working full time from home for 11 years now. And I was like, yeah, it's, it's time for an upgrade from what I had. But now I can walk on the treadmill and do my work at the same time. It's just, it's amazing. It's really, really a good setup. And I have a sit stand desk that electronically moves. And yeah, it's, I'm just, I just feel blessed with that. But, you know, it took the hard things to bring about some of the good things. Right? So anyways, I just encourage you, set a timer. If you can do it right now. I encourage you just to stop right now. Whatever, whatever you're doing, just set that timer maybe for about 15 minutes and just write down all of the things this year, the things that were hard, the things that felt difficult, and then write out all the good things. Write out all the things that really were good. And for me, it's just like sometimes the hard things overshadow the good. We had so many good, good successful launches this year. We actually, we. It, it was great. And yet we lost our contract with God's glory box, which was a significant part of our income, and that it was easy for that to overshadow everything else good that was happening. So it was good for me to sit down and write down like all of the good things too. Like, we totally reorganized our team. We transferred to a new project management tool. Like there's, you know, I hired new people and they're doing amazing now. But that none of that would have happened if we wouldn't have had the issues we had with our team and the turnover we had with our team. So, you know, it's just, it's good, it's good to reflect and I hope you'll do this. I hope you'll look back and then just be grateful. Give Thanksgiving to God. You know, praise and Thanksgiving all are gate openers. We enter his gates with Thanksgiving. We enter his courts with praise. So spend some time. As this year closes down, thanking God for all that he's done. And, you know, even in the midst of the hardships, seeing where God has been with you. So, Lord, thank you so much for this year. Thank you for all that you've been doing. We just want to give you the honor, the glory and the praise. And whether we've had really hard things happen or good things happen, and most likely both, we just want to give you the glory and the praise for all that you're doing in our lives and be grateful and thank. Thank you for all that you're doing. So, Lord, thank you. Thank you for everyone listening. I just pray you would bless them in a special way as they go through this exercise of reflecting back on 2022. All right, friends, I will talk to you in the next episode. Bye Bye.
