#053 - Come Celebrate with Us (8th Memberversary)

Hey, Kingdom writers. This is Shelly Hitz and this is a very special episode. I just wanted to hop on here and let you know we want you to celebrate with us our eighth member Versary. So we have had Christian Book Academy now eight years. This is incredible. Like, it literally is mind blowing to me. When I first started the academy, it was called Author Audience Academy at the time and I had no idea what was going to come of that simple step of faith. I started it with about 25 people in a beta group. And here we are eight years later, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of members that have come through our virtual doors and have published their books, marketed their books and so much more. And so this week we are celebrating by Hosting a free 15 minute writer group writing session. This is powerful. So we've been doing group writing sessions for a long time. We call them our virtual writing retreats. And it's two days that if you're a Christian Book Academy member, you get to join us, get tons of work done, but also have the accountability, the encouragement and it is just a good time. But we've also run our 15 minute writing challenges for years, probably almost eight years as well. And so this is kind of a combination of both of those. We're going to meet and we're going to celebrate. We're going to celebrate some things that God has done. We're going to share with you the power of just writing for 15 minutes and then we are going to write together. So this is going to be this Thursday, February 16, 2023 and we are going to go live at 11:00am Eastern. So, so please, please, please join us. This is free. Invite your writer friends. And this is something that every time I host something like this, people are just amazed at what they get done in just 15 minutes. But it's also just going to be fun. We're going to have a celebration and we are going to just give God the glory for what he's been doing over these last eight years. I still just like blows my mind, like, where did the time go? It has been a journey. I mean, if you've been with us since the beginning, we love you. Like, you are amazing. If you have just recently joined us, we love you as well. We thank you that you take our time, tiny, small, you know, little steps of obedience and you can do something that we can't even think or imagine. And so Lord, when we started this academy, we had no idea what would come. We had no idea how many lives would be impacted, how many books would be published, how many readers those books would reach. And we still don't know. Like we don't fully know the impact, but we, we know that, you know, we want to celebrate this. We want to help even more writers. And so we just thank you Lord for this opportunity to celebrate, to celebrate what you're doing, to give you the honor, the praise and the glory, but to also keep helping writers in this calling you've given C.J. and I. And also to keep helping those writers that find us to write, self publish and market their books. So thank you Lord for this opportunity. And we pray this in Jesus powerful name. Amen. Amen.
