Hey. Hey. This is Shelly Hitz. And welcome back to another episode of the Hit Splits Podcast. And today I just want to talk about the power of teamwork. We all really know deep down that there is power in numbers, right? There's power when we work as a team. If you have been in any kind of organized sport, you know this now. When I was growing up, I was actually a basketball player. Believe it or not.
I am not very athletic. CJ definitely is, and he played basketball growing up too. But I did it mostly just to hang out with my friends. The coach always said, shelly, you would be better if you were just more aggressive. Don't think I had the personality or the physical, just ability to really excel at it. But I learned the power of working as a team. And, you know, when somebody would pass the ball or would block, you know, or, you know, do a pick, and then you would have the ability to make a play. It just all worked so much better than if one person tried to dominate. And so when, when we're working on growing an audience or selling books, there is power and teamwork. And I've been talking about this a lot the last six months or so. Our last conference in September was all about the power of collaborations. Partnerships, you know, really being featured on other people's audiences. But today we are actually doing a special training for Christian Book Academy called Create Collaborative Content. It's going to be a toolkit. So not only will you have the training, but you'll have templates. We have different, you know, even canva templates and just a step by step project plan for you, as well as a Google sheet to keep track of things. And I just have put it all together to make it easy for you. But basically, collaborative content is when you bring together other people in your genre or it could be in your niche or, you know, whatever you're working towards. People that have a similar audience to you and you have everyone contribute some content to either a blog post. It could be a short story. If you're a fiction author, you could write a collaborative short story. Those can be kind of fun. It could be a collaborative social media post or podcast or even video. And everyone creates a small amount of content on a specific topic that you choose that you know your target audience is interested in. I did this last year with a post on our blog about Black Friday marketing ideas, and it worked really well. And what I did was I created a system of how I did it, and then I'm now giving you that system so you don't have to come up with everything from scratch. And this is not necessarily going to be something that will instantly give you all of these new sells and all of this, but it can get you some exposure to new audiences. It can potentially get you some new followers or email subscribers, depending how you set everything up. And what you're doing is everyone who contributes agrees to promote you, either the post or the podcast or whatever it is. And so you're getting the power of teamwork. Everyone is coming together to not only create the content and either write the blog post or record the podcast or whatever it is that you're working on, but then everyone also shares it and they get exposure to your audience, you get exposure to their audiences and. And it's just a win, win, win situation. This is pretty easy to create if you're already blogging, if you're already posting on social media, if you're already podcasting or creating videos. These are things that you're probably already doing. And then you're going to take what you're already doing and just take it to the next level by including other people in that. So if you're a Christian Book Academy member, we are going to be live today at 8pm Eastern, but everything will be in the member area afterwards in the Courageous Writer module. This toolkit will also be available in the shop if you want to purchase it separately. But I have really just tried to make this system as easy as possible for you to implement. I literally am giving you the things that I have used. I did a collaborative blog post and a collaborative podcast recently and I went through all the steps, I did all the things, and now I'm giving like, like I said this system to you. So definitely check it out. And if you want to join us in Christian Book Academy, get access to this toolkit plus everything else that we have. Come join us at christianbookacademy. Com and I will talk to you next time. Bye bye.
