Hey friends, this is Shelly Hitz, the owner and founder of ChristianBookAcademy.com and I want to just encourage you today not to give up. That is probably the thing that I have seen over the years with writers that it's so easy just to give up too soon, especially with the marketing piece. I just had a Christian Book Academy member post in our private group today and he said, you know, it's just can be discouraging to and feel like you're entering into this big black, dark hole of marketing and especially when you're not seeing the results, when you're not seeing the sales. And I, I get it, I get it. It is not like an easy thing like where you just snap your fingers or you just do XYZ and voila, the sales will come in. However, I want to tell you it is a battle, but it's a battle worth fighting. And marketing is a skill you can learn. It is something that you can do. Had somebody else tell me recently that they just don't have the technical ability to do a lot of the things that we teach. And I want to tell you, even if you don't feel like you have the technical skills you can learn and it doesn't mean you have to do everything either. You can partner with other people, you can barter, you can pay other people, but. And there's also tools that sometimes will do a lot of the things for you. But I encourage you today, just take a deep breath.
And realize that God is with you. He has a plan for you. And even when you cannot see it, he is working. And if you need to go back to my episode where I talk about the five step marketing plan and really think through those five steps and you know where you're at on those, what you're doing on with those. And what I find is that many of us, we're just lacking in the attract phase. That's step one, finding new people. It's either going to typically come through paid ads, through SEO, search engine optimization, or through collaborations. So yesterday I was talking about the power of collaborations and creating collaborative content. And you know, it's something that it just, it takes time. It's a marathon, not a sprint with marketing. And I get it. I'm in the trenches with you. I'm doing marketing for our business all the time. And so I get it. Sometimes you just get tired. If you need to rest, rest, take a break, but don't quit. Keep coming to God, asking him for his wisdom, having business meetings with God, journaling, praying, he will keep guiding you and bringing the readers that not only need what you have to offer, but also they will be a blessing to you as well. So I hope that this encouraged you today and I will talk to you in the next episode. Bye Bye.
