Welcome back. Hit Splits Family. And I just wanted to mention, this past weekend, I spent time decluttering and even doing a little bit of rearranging. But I just sat down in my chair this morning, and I just felt this sense of calm and excitement about some of the changes I made. I know it seems weird. Weird, but if you've done this before, you probably know what I mean. It's like there creates this spaciousness when you declutter, especially the areas where you're going to be spending time with God, where you're going to be working or writing. And I rearranged my office. I decluttered the area where I sit in the mornings. Actually, that's where I'm at right now. And it just feels so good. Not only that, but I rearranged this corner where I have all my exercise equipment, and it looks so much better now. I have a cabinet that has doors on it, so I can shut those doors, and you don't have to look at all the things. But anyways, I just wanted to mention, like, there might be something in your environment right now that if you just take a little bit of time and evaluate it, look at it, and say, all right, like, is there something I can do to make this work better for me? And everybody is different. What's going to work best for you may be different than what will work best for me. My husband, cj, we always joke that he has the case of the piles. He loves to pile things, and he has different piles on his desk. And I've Learned in almost 25 years of marriage not to mess with his piles. He knows they're organized piles, but for me, that would drive me crazy. And so you have to know what's gonna work best for you. But I will just tell you, take a deep breath and feel the spaciousness and also the room that you create for creativity. There are so many research studies that show clutter can create additional stress. And so when. When you actually take a few minutes to intentionally look at your environment, remove the clutter, organize it so that it might work better for you, I think you'll notice that you'll have an increase in creativity. It's not guaranteed, but why not try it? It doesn't take long, and it's something that can really have an impact. And so my. My dad is coming to stay with us this summer, well, May and June, for about five weeks. And so I think that's what triggered it for me, because I knew, like, he's gonna be in our second bedroom, which typically is my office. So I was thinking about that and how we're gonna work all this stuff out. But this podcast could be the trigger for you to say, okay, I'm gonna set my timer for 15 minutes, or I'm gonna set my timer for 25 minutes. You know, the typical pomodoro. Or I'm, I'm gonna do this for an hour and I'm just gonna see, like, what happens. And ask the Lord, ask Him for wisdom as well, to lead you, because he cares even about these little things, right? And if it can help you to connect deeper with him, to have greater creativity and to allow things to flow that then can impact others for eternity, it is worth it. But even if it's just for you and your own mental well being, it is worth it. All right, so I hope that you go and do some decluttering today. At the very least, right now, you know, set your timer for 15 minutes and where you do your writing, where you spend most of your time, look around and see if there's anything that you can rearrange, declutter. There might even be things that you decide, I'm going to donate these things. I'm going to unload these things from my entire space. I don't even need to find another space for them. So I hope this has been helpful for you and inspiring and let me know if you take this decluttering challenge.
