#078 - Sometimes You Just Need to Ask

Hey hits splits family. This is Shelly Hitz, owner and founder of ChristianBookAcademy.com today I want to talk about a topic like sometimes you just need to ask. I talk about this all the time, but it is a good reminder. Especially today, I'm hosting our solo email swap toolkit inside Christian Book Academy. But with the solo email swap, sometimes you just need to ask you, you know, have the courage and ask the Lord to help you to even wisdom to know who to ask. I share a case study in the solo email swap toolkit about Amanda Storrs and I and how this just happened organically with us. She sent me an Instagram message and to be honest, it was kind of promotional and it felt a little bit like, icky. And I was like, oh, I don't, I, I, I, I planned on just ignoring it, to be honest, but there was something that prompted me and I, I believe it was the Holy Spirit of like, look into this a little deeper. So I started looking into it. I, I realized like, she had something that was really neat. That was, she, she had done some sort of Bible journaling project that she was giving away for free and I was giving away free coloring pages with our livingcolors online.com membership. So this is my art business. But I thought, let me just check and see if she might be interested in doing a solo email swap. And I just reached out and I just simply asked. So she took a look at what I'm doing. She was like, oh my goodness, yes, let's do this. And the rest is history. So here, if you're part of the toolkit, go look at that case study because I show you exactly our conversation in the Instagram DMs and how it came about, but also the statistics and how many different things that, you know, new subscribers that we got right away, but also how much I sold for Living Colors, you know, our membership. And so anyways, go check out that case study and just realize whether it's asking for a review, whether it's asking for someone to join your prayer team, whatever it is, realize that sometimes you just need to ask. And if someone says no, it's, it's hard, it hurts, you know that, that feeling of rejection. And yet you know what? That's the worst that can happen, right, is that someone will say, no, not right now, or it's not a good fit or whatever. What if they say yes? What if it's a thing, It's a door opening that, you know, yields so many other opportunities, opportunities for you and for you, for God to use your message and to impact lives.
