Hey Hit Splits family, this is Shelly Hits and today I wanted to talk about the impulse buy. And when you are selling books, the impulse buy tends to be 99 cents. Now it can also be $2.99 and I'm talking about people purchasing a Kindle ebook. You know, you're not going to sell your print book that low. But when someone's checking out a new author and they see that the Kindle ebook is $0.99 or $2.99, it's kind of an impulse decision, right? Impulse buy. It's like, oh yeah, that, that's a no brainer. I can check that out. I can, I can invest that into this, this unknown author and see what they have to share. I know for me that's happened many times and then sometimes the person might really impress you. You go on to buy other book for their email list. You get connected in other ways, maybe you purchase another program of them. But this is something that any of you can do once you've published your book. I like to call it the anytime promotion. You can lower your Kindle ebook to 99 cents for a few days. I like to do three days, but you can do two days. You can even do a one day promotion. Just really give some urgency to it. But you can, you can even do this as part of your book launch. But you can do it at any time and there's really just some power in it because not only do you have the impulse buy to get sales and potentially, you know, people that are joining your, your platform and you're buying your other products and services, but you're also having the opportunity to get more reviews and just to generally get more exposure. You know, that's, that's the thing we're really looking for many times as authors. And so I am hosting a workshop. It's going to be June 22nd and it's going to be at 8pm Eastern. But if you're not able to make it live, you, you'll have the replay. You can get that later. But I'm, I'm hosting this for Christian Book Academy members. So if you're a member, you're already in. And if you're not a member yet, come join us. Join us@christianbookacademy.com currently it's just $39 a month. You can join month by month. But this workshop is gonna be a lot of fun. Not only do I give you a step by step process of how to set this up and how to do it, we also provide canva graphic templates that my designer created that you can easily edit and just easily put your book cover in them and you'll have those graphics to share on social media and other places. But we also created some templates that you can send through email, some posts that you can share on social media. And, and I have put together a list of different places that you can submit your 99 cent book promotion. So you can do this. And it's, it's a great anytime promotion. You know, right now it's summer. We kind of hit a, you know, summer slump sometimes. And yet people do read books on the summer, in the summer, you know, might be on vacation or different things and they're looking for a new book. And so this might be a great time to do a summer sale. Right? But you can do this at any time. And so I encourage you to come join us@christianbookacademy.com and this will be in the marketing workshops module. But it's going to be just a great resource, ongoing for any of you to check out. So the impulse buy is that 99 cent price point. But I mean, you can also lower your book to, let's say $2.99. I mean, you get to decide. But if you want other sites to promote your book, most of them are going to be promoting books that are at 99 cents. So anyways, check out the workshop. Come join us at Christian Book Academy if you're not already a member. And I'm excited to share this with you, with you soon. All right, I'll talk to you next time. Bye. Bye.
