A short podcast prayer and encouragement led by Shelley Hitz (with another speaker) using the metaphor of planting seeds to urge listeners to keep doing the necessary work (watering, fertilizing, planting new seeds) while exercising faith and patience when results are not yet visible. Includes a personal anecdote about trying to grow herbs from seed and the exhortation that faith and patience are the "power twins" (attributed to Shay Bind). The piece closes with a prayer for specific guidance from the Holy Spirit and an amen.

And the picture God gave me is of having like a handful of seeds and planting those seeds in soil. And there's some of you that have been planting seeds and waiting for those seeds to come up. And I recently am trying. I've been trying to grow herbs from.
Seeds, and some of them are coming up, some of them are not. And it's easy to feel discouraged or be like, oh, what's wrong? Why aren't these coming up? Or to want to give up and just go do something else. But. But I just pray for any of.
Those that are here right now, Lord, that have been planting seeds, and maybe they don't see the fruit yet, they don't have it harvest yet.
Maybe they don't even see a bud or anything coming up from the surface. Lord, I pray for faith to rise that. That you are doing something with that.
Seed underneath the soil that they cannot see right now. And I pray that they would be diligent to continue to do what they need to do in the process, like watering that seed, maybe fertilizing, like I.
Bought fertilizer, this, or my. Her. My herbs. But, like, there might be things that you can do to help the process along and, you know, just continue to show up, continue to plant new seeds.
Continue to water seeds that have been planted, but to continue the. The things that you've called us to do, Lord, even when we don't see the results yet. Father, I pray that anyone that's, in that sense, season where there's a seed.
Planted, but it hasn't broken through yet.
Lord, just give them your hope that.
You are at work. And then I pray that you would give them a specific word right now, a specific encouragement from the Holy Spirit that you would, you know, tell them, like, what is ahead or what's next.
Or what to do, or maybe they're doing it everything right, and they just need to continue just to wait and be patient.
And that's the hardest thing.
We are in an instant society. We want to just see things right away. And so, Lord, I just pray you would give us patience and faith. As my friend Shay Bind says, those.
Are the power twins, faith and patience.
So I just pray for that, Lord. In Jesus name, amen.
