Shelley Hitz offers a brief devotional reflection for writers, using a roller coaster metaphor to describe the emotional ups and downs of the writing journey and urging listeners to stay connected to God (the "seat belt") for stability. She shares a personal anecdote about Cedar Point and a prophetic prompt to finish a book (broken crayons), celebrates victory in Christ, and encourages writers to persevere and trust God for abundant outcomes.

I was just praying for you all and saw a picture of a roller coaster. And when I was younger, I loved roller coasters. We lived in Ohio and I would ride, I would go to the Cedar Point. Have you guys heard of it? It's like the roller coaster mecca of the world. And then when CJ and I got together, he doesn't like roller coasters, so I haven't been on one for a while. But when you step on and when you make that decision to get into the roller coaster, what do they do? They have some sort of belt or thing to, to hold you in. And some of us were getting in to this roller coaster of writing or we've been in it for a while, but just want to make sure your seatbelt is secure. And guess what? The seat belt is. It's God, right? It's our connection with him and he's the one that's going to keep us secure when it's when we're spinning upside down and we're like, wait, I'm hanging upside down. But oh wait, I'm fine, I'm fine, my seatbelt's sick here. Or just write. It's. What am I doing? I don't know, I'm just writing. And I remember it was years ago when I, I sensed God say finish the book and I knew it was the broken crayonsto color and that ended up being my best selling book. And it's. Sometimes God just gives you those nudges and you're stepping into this roller coaster and you're like, I don't know what to expect. And there's ups and downs and twists and turns and you're upside down and all the things. And yet we are established with him with that seatbelt. We're secure in him no matter the, the twists and the turns and the ups and the downs of the circumstances of life. So I just want to encourage you all with that today and know that wherever you're at on the journey, he is what will keep you stable. Stay connected with Him. The belt of truth, right? The seat belt of truth are securely fastened. And I love that. So, yeah, there is a spiritual battle, but you are victorious. We are all victorious in Christ. We love you all Kingdom writers. Keep moving forward. Keep going with what God has given you, trusting him with every step of the way. We are cheering you on. We are here for you. We want to see you cross that finish line. So make the year that God just does exceedingly, abundantly above what you can even think or imagine. We love you. Guys. We'll see you soon. Bye.
