As I was praying for you and getting ready for this devotional book workshop, I saw a picture of a whole bunch of horses running and going to a destination. And I sensed that the Lord was saying that some of us, myself included, we get into a groove at times where we try to write on our own and we have giftings, we have abilities, we have ideas, and it's like trying to walk so somewhere on our own two feet. But I have a sense that today God is inviting some of you to partner with him in a way that you never have before, or maybe you have and to join him again. Maybe you have been trying in your own strength and the enemy has gotten you off track. But today I feel like that God is inviting you to get onto his horse of the Holy Spirit. And I sense Jesus at the reins. He's leading, he's giving you the direction and guiding you and leading you. But it's the Holy Spirit that is going to give you the ideas. And you can get so much further when you partner with God, when you're on that horse, when you are going with him instead of just trying to go on your own two feet. How many of you have ever felt that before? Where you started a book and you started writing and then you're just like, you feel like you hit a roadblock or you just feel like you're just getting there, teeny tiny steps, one at a time. Well, the Lord is, He may have that for you in a certain season, go at the pace of his grace. But I wanna pray for supernatural productivity for all of you as you partner with God. And we are praying that for you, that as you're going through this workshop, it's not just about thinking and figuring things out and doing things in your own strength. It's about saying, God, what do you want for this book? God, what do you want me to write about? What story should I include? And one time in a in person Colorado writing retreat, there was a participant and she was standing and I said, just pray and ask God for what to do. And later she said, God gave me the exact story that I need to open my book with. So I really believe that as you partner with him, as you connect with him, he's going to give you what to include in your devotional, what the theme will be, what all of these things. And if it doesn't come today, it will come. So just trust that you are connected with him. You are the branch connected to the vine. And I heard someone say this week that, that he always pictures like an umbilical cord from himself up to Jesus at the right hand of the throne of God. That umbilical cord gives him the wisdom, gives him the nutrition he needs. And I just want to read this scripture over you as we start. 1 Corinthians 6:17. It says, but he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. So if you are a follower of Jesus today, you are one spirit with God, and He is able to, through that umbilical cord, give you exactly what you need for your devotional book. So be encouraged. I hope that encouraged you today.
