This podcast is filled with spiritual encouragement as well as prayers to help you overcome the resistance you face as a writer. Your story matters.
Welcome to the kickoff live video for our 24 hour prayer vigil. My name is Shelli Hitz.
And I'm CJ Hitz.
And we are just so honored to be with you today. As we were praying and just asking God, you know, what is our role in this? What is our assignment? We just felt like God wanted us to just encourage you in prayer, but to lead this 24 hour prayer vigil. So if you're here joining us live, introduce yourself in comments, let us know where you're from. We expect people from all over the world, so we just love that you're joining us. Please share this live video so that others can join in or the recording. If you're here, let us know. And we want to spend the majority of this time in prayer because that's where the power is right? And we want each of you to agree with us in prayer because as scripture says, where two or three are gathered, he God is in our midst. And so we are in the midst of a worldwide pandemic because of COVID 19, the coronavirus. Many of us are at home, we're self isolating. And so we want to come together as a community and lift this up to God in prayer. Amen.
Amen. And you know, Shelly and I are going to be live for this first hour and then we're also going to close out the 24 hours with being on the last hour and in between there, every single hour at the top of the hour, there's going to be a different prayer that you're going to see show up in your feed in this peace over panic group. And it's going to be basically an emphasis on us on a different area of prayer. And so we want to really encourage you. It may not be possible for all 24 hours, but what we want to encourage you to do is if you see that in your feed or if you're really following along over this 24 hours, just pause when you see that and join us in praying that prayer and also adding to that prayer, any words that you have as we all come together in agreement.
You know, it's like really holding a protest, so to speak, before God. It's like we're picketing and we're Saying, we need this, Lord. We want this. We want this change. We want repentance across our land. We want to see this coronavirus come to an end. But we also, in the process of, yes, we all want the coronavirus to be gone. Obviously, it's, it's an inconvenience. It's. It's creating a lot of, you know, fear and panic among people. So naturally we've got emphasis on praying for a breakthrough there. But one of the things we're also being very cognizant about is I just sense the Lord wants to do something through this crisis. So it's not just about Lord, bring a quick cure to the coronavirus and then go back to normal. It's about, Lord, what are you doing? What are you bringing about through this crisis, through this infection.
In terms of the good that you want to bring about? And that's what we want to really be praying for, that God would humble the hardened hearts, that those who have been so hardened against the Lord would see a need to cry out for his mercy. And so we're really, just, as we're praying, we're keeping that in mind and just wanting to throw that out there right in the beginning of this 24 hours.
Yeah. And as we pray in this opening video, we're just going to dive in and start praying. We're going to be praying scriptures, we're going to be praying pictures that God gives us. But go ahead and type out your prayers in the comments. Type Amen. Say, I'm here with you. The more comments we get, the more visibility in the feed, the more people will join us and the more, you know that impact that can happen. So make sure you're commenting and writing your own prayers and letting us know that you're here with us. But we're going to go ahead and get into the prayer.
Yeah. So we're going to start off, you know, there a whole bunch of you listed scriptures that have really ministered to you. We're going to pray based on a lot of these scriptures. So the first One is Philippians 4, 6 and 7. Do not be anxious about anything. But in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. And so, Father, we come to you right now asking that you would bring peace to our panic, that you would remove any anxiety, that you would bring calm where there's been chaos. We are calling upon you, Father, you have told us in your Word to call upon you. And we are calling upon you as a church, as a body of believers from all over the world. And we are asking that you would bring peace.
Into the hearts of your children. We know that those that don't know you are struggling to find a peace that doesn't exist outside of Christ. It's a false peace, It's a false hope. And so we are asking, Lord, that your church would demonstrate such a peacefulness that the non believers would look in and say, I want that, I need that. I don't have that. I feel nothing but anxiety, nothing but panic. And I pray that they cry out to you, Lord. And so we're, we're lifting this up right in the beginning, that we're proclaiming peace over panic for your church, for your children.
Yes, God, and, and I just pray right now that hope would rise in Jesus name and each of your followers and each person listening right now. God, we just ask that hope would rise. And I just felt like I got a picture of a hot air balloon that is grounded, but Jesus is.
The hot air that will lift you up in this time, that will bring you above the circumstances, lift you above the circumstances so you can see from his perspective, so that you can have hope even when there doesn't seem to be a reason to hope. God, we just ask right now that you would just by your holy Spirit, fill each one of us with your hope. In Jesus name, we thank you that we are creating, as your church, we are creating this beautiful kaleidoscope of all these different hot air balloons that people can look at and see the beauty and the color and be like, how come you're so peaceful? Where do you, you know, where do you get that hope? Or what's going on with you? Tell me more. So, Lord, we just pray, God, that you would just infer, infuse us like an iv, that you would infuse us with your hope right now. Beyond what the news is saying, beyond what the facts are saying. God, we trust you and you alone. We thank you, God, for this. In Jesus name.
Yes, someone else mentioned Mark 4. 39. It's where Jesus quieted the storm and said, peace, be still. And so we agree with that. We know we're in the midst of a storm right now. Jesus, we're calling upon you to quiet the storm, to put a muzzle as the Greek word for be still implies. It's like a muzzle on a dog that you're quieting that storm, you're subduing that storm. And we are calling upon your peace to bring calm to anxious hearts everywhere. And so we, along with you, we rebuke those wind and the waves in Jesus name. We rebuke the waves of fear that continue to pound the shores of our nation and around the world. We rebuke that in Jesus name. And we proclaim peace across our land. As Jesus calmed the storm, we are calling upon a peace to take over and calm this storm that we are currently in. In Jesus name.
Yes, and Lord, we just take authority right now over any spirit of worry, of any spirit of fear, of any spirit of wanting to be in control. And we command them to leave in Jesus name. And we just pray that your, the blood of Jesus would cover each one of us, that you would fill us with your holy spirit, which is peace, which is love, which is joy. And I just got a picture of just when I was in college. I was running down a street and this really fierce dog came out to try to attack me and was like barking and barking and I mean it was scary and it made me jump out into the road to try to avoid it. But the dog was leashed and the dog couldn't come into the sidewalk, couldn't get me. And so right now, the world, the news, you know, so many things. The enemy is just barking and barking and barking, barking at each one of us right now, trying to get us scared too, so that we will step out into the street where harm could come to us. But we are safe and secure. The enemy cannot touch us. We are covered by the blood of Jesus. Those that are in Christ Jesus, we are safe and secure. So Lord, we just thank you right now that you have peace for each one of us, that we don't have to listen to the world. We don't have to listen to the news. We don't have to hear those barks and become frightened. But we hear those barks and we see the chain, that there is a limit. The enemy is limited. He can only do so much. And we know how this story ends. We know that you have victory. We know that you win. We know that we have hope beyond this life. We have hope of heaven. And so God, we just thank you right now. That fear is gone in Jesus name. Worry is gone in Jesus name. A need for control is gone in Jesus name. And we just give all of this to you, Lord. And thank you.
Yes, John 14:27. I am leaving you with a gift. Peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid. And so with that, we are asking for that, that gift. We're even asking that those who don't know you would unwrap that gift for the first time and experience that peace that passes all understanding that even Paul alluded to. But we thank you for the gift of peace, Jesus, that you've left for us. And we ask that you would remove.
Any trouble from our hearts, anything that has stirred us up. We are asking for a peace that just fills us from head to toe. That even in the midst of.
What so many are deeming a very bleak time, we're still praying for your peace to rise. And we thank you for that peace. It's a gift and we are going to accept that gift and we'll take all we can get, Lord.
Yes Lord, we do pray for repentance across our nation, across the world, Lord, that there would be a humbling, there would be a realization that we are not in control, that you are the one who is in control. That there is something bigger out there, something more, that.
You start getting people's attention. God, I just pray you would wake people up, wake people up, wake people up in Jesus name, God, that there would just be dreams, there'd be visions, God, that you would begin speaking to hearts. That there would be a humbling and that there would be a revival. That people would be coming to you. There would be salvations, God, that people would, you know. And those of us that are Christians, God, that we would be having opportunities, divine appointments to share, to share the hope that we have. And God, we just pray that this would not be wasted. Lord, we know that you don't waste anything. We know that this is not something that you have necessarily created. The enemy comes to steal, kill and Destroy. That's John 10:10. You come to give life and life abundantly. But Lord, we know that you can bring good out of every evil. Sit. So God, we just ask that this would not be wasted. We ask for a revival, Lord, in Jesus name. We ask for salvations in Jesus name and God, we just pray that each one of us would just be in prayer for specific people in our lives. That you would prick our hearts if we're to reach out, if we're to do something. And Lord, that many, many would come to know you through this time.
Matthew 6:26 look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns. For your Heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are. And Father, thank you for that truth. Yes, I was Reminded of this as I was watching a little bird a few days ago, eating out of our bird feeder. And I was just reminded that, you know, there are all kinds of ways that you provide for the birds of the air. And it's just fun to watch them scurrying about, looking for their food for that day. And yet we know that there are a lot of people across our land and around the world even struggling financially. They're struggling with things that they haven't struggled with perhaps in their whole lives. Downturns in business.
Being laid off.
Having to file, unemployment, whatever it may be. There are people that are truly worried right now. They are in panic mode. They're wondering where they're going to be able to pay their bills, how they're going to do that. And we ask, Lord, that you would remind them of how much you love them. Remind them that you ultimately are Jehovah Jireh, you are the provider, our great provider, capital P. And we, we are reminded even of the manna that you dropped from heaven, the angel food of angels, as it says. And we thank you, Lord, that you were able to feed your people all those years in the desert and that you're certainly more than able in 2020 to feed your people wherever they're at. And so we are trusting, Lord, in your provision. And we are asking, Lord, that you would take care of those who are struggling in ways they haven't before. I pray you put their eyes upon you and your hand of provision and that they would even be encouraged as they see the different ways that you provide, ways that they never even imagined. I just pray that you do miracle after miracle in terms of providing for families all around the world. We're asking this in Jesus name.
Yes, God, we just thank you that you are our provider. We claim that right now you are our provider. And we fix our eyes on you. We don't fix our eyes on our bank account. We don't fix our eyes on our employer, on the economy. We fix our eyes right now, Father, on you. And we thank you that you are the God of miracles, the God of five loaves and two fish feeding thousands, the God of, you know, making sure that the oil did not run out, the God that does miracles. And so we thank you for that right now. And I just pray that there would be miracles and that we would be careful to give you the honor, Lord. We would be careful to give you the praise. We would share these testimonies of what you're doing in our finances, in the provision, in the ways that you're doing it. And that we would also be willing, Lord, as your people, to give to those in need, that we would be generous, that there would just be opportunities to share and to give and to do what we can. And so, Lord, we just thank you, God, that you are our provider. We just fix our eyes on you. I just pray that any, any worry about this would dissipate. Lord, in Jesus, Jesus name. Just like a fog that lifts. I just see a picture of like a real foggy day where you can't see anything. And all of a sudden that fog lifts and it's bright, it's clear, it's sunny. And for some of you right now, that fog is lifting in Jesus name. That fog of worry is lifting in Jesus name. That fog of wanting to be in control is lifting in Jesus name. That fog of faith fear is lifting in Jesus name. And you are claiming God as your provider today. You are claiming the miracles that he's done. And Lord, we just trust you that you are going to give us creative ideas and solutions. Those of us that are business owners and entrepreneurs, that new products will come out of this, God, that those that are unemployed right now, that you would give them even ideas and creativity. And so, God, we just thank you for providing. We pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
Isaiah 43:19 says, For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun. Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. And Father, we know that that was referring to Jesus. Jesus being able to provide.
The river of life. And we are even praying, though, that through this crisis you would bring about something new in people's hearts, that you would birth. That Jesus would be birthed in hearts all around this world as a result of what this season is doing. It's refining in so many ways. It's refining your church, but it's also refining those who don't know you. They are being put in very uncomfortable spots. We all are in some ways. But there are some people that are really squirming right now because they're not used to being out of control. And I am asking, Lord, that you would make a way, that you would pave a way into these hearts, that you would soften these hardened hearts and that Jesus would be birthed anew. That new life would form within each and every person that is on that fence right now. Would you draw them? We know no one can come to you unless the Father draws them. And so would you Would you draw them from all corners of this globe? Father God, and we are going to thank you for the new birth that you bring in so many, the new salvations, people being born again into the kingdom of God. And we are praying that this will be one of the many fruits that come about in this season, that could be a season of harvest. And we thank you in Jesus name.
Yes, and Lord, we do pray for a vaccination to be found. Lord, we do pray for a cure for this. Covid19 God, we pray for the scientists and the medical personnel and anyone who is working on this vaccination right now. God, we just pray for supernatural wisdom and insight. God, we pray that you would give them dreams where they wake up and all of a sudden, oh, that's that situation that, that problem that, that complex thing that they were working through, solved. And Lord, I know you've done this in the past. There's so many testimonies of how you've given specific blueprints, specific plans. And so God, we know you can do it, whether it's in dreams or visions or aha moments, God, that you would just be working through the scientists to develop this vaccination. And God, I almost just got a picture of and I don't even know exactly what it's called, but like I just saw this notebook and it was blank and there was nothing in there. And it's almost like right now we just don't know what to do. But all of a sudden they put on these special glasses and I don't know if it was like invisible ink or, I don't know what I mean, something, but all of a sudden they could see exactly everything was there written down. And Lord, we know that you have the exact formula, the exact cure, the exact things that they need. And so God, we just pray that you would give them the insight and the vision from you to be able to see that whatever it is that they need from you. I pray that you would bring, bring that and that you would get the glory, Lord, that somehow through all of this that it would come in a way that people would know that they could, couldn't take credit for it, but that they would have to give the, the glory and the honor to you for it. And so, Lord, we just pray that you would do this in Jesus name.
Yes, and Father, you know, as I was reading in Romans chapter five this morning, about the first Adam bringing about sin into the world, infecting mankind, so to speak, and how we're all infected with the plague of sin and, you know, you think about all of the plagues, the black plague, the bubonic plague, you know, some of the horrible times in history where.
They really made this coronavirus seem small. And yet, not to diminish this coronavirus, but I am asking that people would have an awakening to realize, oh, there's a greater infection called sin that.
Can only be cured by the second adam, as Romans 5 says, which is Jesus, and that Jesus alone provides the cure, not just even a vaccination, but a cure, a complete cure to our sin problem, the sin disease, the sin virus. And, Father, would you awaken people in such a way that they see the correlation between a physical virus and a spiritual virus, and that there is only one cure, and that we would place that hope in Jesus alone, open our eyes, Lord, to see that. And we thank you for what you're going to do in curing many people's hearts.
Yes, Jesus, yes. And, Lord, we just. We thank you right now for every healthcare worker out there that is on the front lines. We want to thank you for them. We want to thank you for their education and their knowledge and their wisdom and their willingness to. To be on the front lines. And we just pray for supernatural protection over them right now, Lord, in Jesus name, God, that you would protect them, that you would give them wisdom in how to move forward and in treating the patients and even protecting themselves. But God, we just thank you for doctors, we thank you for nurses, we thank you for hospital administrators. And God, we just pray that it would almost be like a shield around them, you know, like an invisible shield that the coronavirus could not penetrate. And, Lord, we ask that you provide all of the medical equipment needed. You know, that they have everything that they need. And we pray that you would just be lifting them up. And we pray for supernatural strength for them as well. I know a lot of them are working around the clock, they're tired. So, Lord, we just pray that the minutes that they do sleep, that they would be multiplied, that they would wake up feeling refreshed and energized and not even sure how. But, Lord, that it's because of you. And you are giving them supernatural strength and energy and renewal. So we thank you for this, Lord, in Jesus name.
Yes. And Father, we are calling upon your wisdom to be given to our governmental leaders, President Trump, Vice President Pence, Speaker Pelosi, all of those high up in the government. We are praying that you would give them wisdom, that you would.
Give them solutions, practical solutions that can be implemented during this tough time. I even Pray, Lord, that you would also bring.
Solutions and wisdom to our state government. Government officials, our governors, associate governors, state senators, representatives. We're asking, Lord, for wisdom to be given to our local bodies of authority as well. We are asking, Lord, that.
That the leaders of our land would have their attention drawn to you, that they would be seeking you fervently for wisdom, for understanding, for clarity, for discernment. Lord, we're in an age right now where to lead without those things is the blind leading the blind. And so we are asking that you would please speak to each and every person that's in authority that has the ability to impact thousands upon thousands of people. And not that we're looking to them for our hope. You're our hope, Lord. But we know that you place these people in their positions and we are asking that they would do their jobs to the glory of God and that they would be given what they need during this time. I even pray you give them strength and energy. I know they are tired. I know that many of them are working. I saw a figure that this Dr. Fossey or Fauci, that is sort of Trump's lead doctor, he's been putting in 19 hour days.
And yet we know, Lord, that you can give supernatural strength to those that are in these positions. So we place them before you in Jesus name.
Yes. And Lord, I just see like a puzzle right now, and we only have just a few pieces of the puzzle and trying to put them in place and there's so many empty spots and there's so many unknowns. But God, we just thank you right now that you have the box top, you know how this story ends, you know exactly where each piece of the puzzle goes and the timing and all of these things. And so we pray that as each of these leaders gets another piece of the puzzle, that you would lead them and guide them and give them wisdom of where to put it, of what to do, of, you know, where it goes. And God, we just thank you that ultimately you have that box top. And Lord, we also just pray that you would give President Trump and the governors and the leaders of other countries all around the world, Lord, that you would give them keys to unlock doors right now that there are so many doors that are locked and they don't know what's next or what's coming or how to do something or where to go or how long to, you know, keep us in isolation or this or that. But God, that they would start getting keys, specific keys from you and that they would be able to like, you know, to use those as if, like to unlock doors that will help them to lead in those ways. And so, God, we just thank you that you're. You're giving specific wisdom and guidance and that ultimately, Lord, it comes from youm. And we pray for our leaders. We pray that they would be humbled and that they would realize that they need you, they need your help. Lord, we just pray that they would start crying out to you. They would get on their knees in their bedrooms, at night, in their offices, God, that there would be just so many leaders around the world that would just be falling to their knees, that would be coming to you in prayer because they don't know what to do. Nothing like this has ever happened before, and they don't have a manual for this. But you do, God. So we thank you, God, right now that they are falling to their knees, that you are giving them wisdom. And we thank you for this. In Jesus name.
Yes. As someone else shared Psalm 94:19, which says, when anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy. So, Father, we are asking right now that you would bring a wave, joy to every single believer around this world. Many of our brothers and sisters may be struggling right now. They may be sort of feeling some hopelessness creep in. I pray that you reset their focus upon Jesus. And I also just pray that wherever they're at right now, the millions upon millions of believers all around this globe, I pray that right now you would bring a wave of joy that would well up from within. All of us have felt those moments where this unspeakable joy just fills us. It's like an overflowing spring. And we're even told that rivers of living water will flow. And we are asking, Lord, that even right at this moment.
There might even be some that look at each other with a glimmer in their eye and say, just as those followers on the road.
To Emmaus, didn't our hearts burn within us on the road, didn't our hearts burn? Weren't we just filled with joy? Did you feel something there? I pray that you would bring a wave and that that joy would just be a reminder, a quick reminder that you've got this, you've got your children. And for all of those who are seeking you and looking to you as their hope, they have nothing to worry about. All anxiety dissipates. And we're asking this in Jesus name.
Yes, and Lord, we just pray for unity.
Across our nation right now, specifically the United States States. We pray for unity where there's been so much division. There's been so much us against them and so much just.
Emotion involved in opinions in this and in that. And Lord, I just pray that right now in the midst of this crisis, God, that you would bring us together, that the loving or the playing field would be level. You'd be leveling the playing field. And so, Lord, we just pray, God, that you would bring unity and you would bring some even just restoration, reconciliation, that there would even be times of people just asking someone else for forgiveness of, you know, even, you know, whether it's political or family or whatever relationships that it is, Lord, that there would just be. Be a sense of unity. We pray for unity amongst marriages at home as we're stuck at home and with each other all the time and in families with the kids and, you know, all the stuff that's going on. We pray for unity in families, Lord, in Jesus name. We pray for unity in our government, in Jesus name. We pray for unity across Christians across the world, Lord, that we would come together, Lord, we just thank you that you are doing something through all of this. And we just pray, God, that you would tear down any divisions that are holding us apart from each other, Lord, that you would bring restoration, you would bring reconciliation, and, God, that you would bring unity in Jesus name.
Yes. And Father, many of us have several.
Unsaved members of our family that we've been praying for, for years, for them to have their eyes opened, their ears open to the truth, to have their hearts softened. And I pray in agreement with all of us that you would do something through this time that hasn't been able to get through in the past. I pray that many of our family members would be open, that they would even.
Cry out, just like the jailer with Paul and Silas, what must I do to be saved? I pray that there would just be a deep, deep desire within for our unbelieving family members to just realize, man, I don't have the resources in and of myself, I am empty. I'm flat broke. And that it would lead them to find the riches that are in Christ. And so we are all in agreement in asking you, Lord, to do whatever it takes, whatever it takes to draw our lost loved ones to yourself. And that we would just simply be available people that would.
Be given answers when, when answers are needed, that you'd fill us with love, that in our interactions with our family members, we'd be gentle, full of compassion, full of love, full of grace, but also that the truth would stand and shine brightly through us. And so we are Asking for an awakening, for the loss to come to you. And we're specifically.
Crying out for our family members. We ask this in Jesus name.
Yes, Lord, I just specifically pray for divine appointments during this time that those who are on the front lines, those who are do have essential jobs that still have to go. Whether it's a divine appointment on the phone, whether it's a divine appointment in the hospital.
You know Christians around the world, God, that are being placed in positions for such a time as this, whether they're in the government, they're in health care, they're in education, they're in their homes, Lord, I just pray for divine appointments to begin bubbling up in Jesus name that there would be obedience, Lord, that when we sense that nudging to say something, that nudging to call someone, that nudging to send a gift, the nudging to speak out, the nudge that we would follow that, that nudging of the Holy Spirit. I pray for obedience, God, and I pray for divine appointments and for you to just there just to be so many God stories that come out of this time, Lord, because you are at work and because we are listening and we are here with open ears and open hearts and are willing to be obedient. God, we thank you in Jesus name.
And Father, we want to lift up all those who have been infected with the virus. And we're even especially thinking of those who have taken a downturn, who are critical in their condition. And Father, many of them are going to need a miracle. They're going to need your life breathed into them. They're going to need something that medical workers can't give and that is supernatural healing. And so just like the friends that brought.
Their fellow friend on the mat and even broke through the roof of where Jesus was teaching and lowered the man into that room in order for Jesus to heal that man. We are coming alongside all of those who are in critical condition right now. We all as a body, we lift them up wherever they're at and we lift them down into the reach of Jesus. And Jesus, we are calling upon you to touch them. These people who are in critical condition, give them life. Would you pour vitality into their bodies? Would you strengthen their immune systems to fight off this virus? Would you clear their lungs in Jesus name, would you bring complete supernatural healing like only you can do? Lord, you are still the great physician today in 2020. And would you do this only so that you alone will have glory, so it will bring glory to your name that these people who have practically been raised from the dead, who have been on their deathbeds would be able to rise up and say it was only the healing of the great physician, Jesus, that brought me out of this. And we are praying, Lord, that we hear stories from all corners of the earth with those who have been on the brink of death and for those that have the virus that maybe are still very light in their symptoms. We're praying, Lord, that you'd strengthen their immune systems, that you would boost their immunity, that you give them wisdom in terms of hydration and nutrition and whatever. Maybe there's all kinds of things that they can do in a physical sense to help ward off and fight, give their bodies a fighting chance against this virus. But we are asking that you would supernaturally boost their immune systems. And there may be some that are walking around that don't even know that they're carriers. They don't even know that they have been infected. We are asking, Lord, that. That their symptoms wouldn't even show up, that their bodies would just do the job that the white blood cell army is supposed to do, and that you would eradicate this virus from their bodies in Jesus name. And so, Lord, bring your healings and we will give you the glory for every story that we hear. And we ask this in Jesus name.
Yes. And I just pray for every person who's at home that is not normally at home. And they have this gift of time. And it may not seem like a gift right now, but God, I pray that you would open their eyes and for them to see that it is a gift of time. That is time that they can be spending with you, time that they can be doing the things you're inviting them to do. And that is part of their calling, whether that's writing and writing a book or creativity and creating art, whether it's learning a new skill, skill, whatever it might be, or spending time, quality, quality time with their family. God, we just pray that this time would not be siphoned away by the enemy in worry and fear and doubt and all these things that, that. That you would. You would use this time, Lord, for your good and for your glory in Jesus name.
Yes. Psalm 34, 4 and 5. I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy. No shadow of shame will darken their faces. And so, Father, we thank you for this promise in the psalms. And I just even get this picture of people being freed from a prison cell of fear that they've been behind bars, so to speak, with fear. And we are asking, Lord, that you would bring freedom, allow them to walk free out of that cell. And we are. We are praying that they would be a testimony to those who are still struggling in that area and that there would even be people that would approach these newly freed people and say, what? What did you do? What? Who freed you? What. What's going on here? You seem so at peace. You seem just so full of joy and radiant. So I pray that this scripture would be lived out in so many across our land and across the world, and that this would be the case for all of your children, for sure. That we'd shine in radiance, with joy, even in the midst of. Of what. What has seemed like a darker time. We're praying that our joy would shine that much brighter. And we ask this in Jesus name.
Yes. And Lord, we pray for the. The schools and the administrators that are making decisions on whether the schools stay closed or they open or they do home school over zoom or what they do. And Lord, we just pray again for wisdom for the leaders of our education system and the education systems around the world. Lord, we pray for teachers.
Yeah.
Lord, we pray that you would just give them creativity and if they are teaching virtually right now, that you would just give them such a. Just even a curiosity and that it's almost. It almost becomes like a fun game like to just figure out how to engage their students virtually and that you would just give them strategies that work and then those strategies would be shared amongst other teachers, other teachers, other teachers and parents that are now the teachers at home. We pray for them. We pray for patients, we pray for an equipping of them. And Lord, we just pray for the students and the children. We pray for protection over their minds and their hearts. Lord, we pray against any PTSD in Jesus name. We pray against any trauma in Jesus name. We pray against any.
Domestic violence that could be happening right now because people are home a lot more. Any sexual, verbal, physical abuse. Lord, we pray protection around these children in Jesus name. And we pray for the children that also they get their meals at school and they don't have food right now. And so we pray that there would even be a provision for them and that you would activate the people that are able to help and to give and to do the things that you've called them to do. But Lord, we just pray for the schools, for the administrators, the teachers, the students, and then the parents, Lord, that you would just bring again a sense of unity. But Lord, that that you would accomplish your will through this time. We pray this in Jesus name.
Yes, and Father, we want to lift up our pastors all around the world. We know that they're in a position that they've never been in before. There are some that have not used technology very much in order to communicate to their flocks. And yet I pray that you would give every pastor the ability to find a fresh way to communicate with their congregations. That you would just give wisdom to pastoral staffs, that you would just give them creativity in ways that perhaps they never even thought of. That there would be much good that comes out of this time of simply being able to communicate in an online format or through social media or through.
Zoom calls, whatever it may be. We are asking that pastors would rise up all around this world and that you'd give them strength, that you'd give them energy, that you give them supernatural power to still be able to.
Serve in their roles as you've called them to. That this would not diminish their roles, but this would just simply allow them to shine as the shepherds that you've called them to be. And so we're praying that there would be much, much fruitful ministry that takes place as a result of this, that the enemy would love to just see all of this shut down. And for people to be completely isolated, hopeless in their own corner, wallowing in shame and fear. And we speak against that in Jesus name. And we actually turn that around and we speak victory. We pray that people would stay connected through every means that we have at our disposal in this technological age that we live in. And we are thanking you right now that we can even come to.
Through this screen and reach many people who we will never meet in person. And yet you've allowed us to be able to share in this way, to reach people right in their homes, whether it's in this country or abroad. And we're thanking you for that technology. Lord, I believe that you're going to use technology to help spread the gospel to places that never would have been reached in our lifetimes had it not been for technology. So we thank you for that. And we are praying a special blessing upon our pastoral brothers and sisters that they would be given everything they need, that you would equip them, Lord, to fulfill the calling that you have in this day and age. We ask this in Jesus name.
Yes, and Lord, I just also pray against any spirit of hopelessness or suicide. Lord, we just pray that you would push back that darkness in Jesus name, even the weakest Light can hold back the darkness. So we ask Jesus that you would shine your light into anyone's heart that is facing hopelessness or suicide right now. Suicidal thoughts. We pray that you would rescue them, Lord, in Jesus name. That you would let them know that, that you are with them. That you would send someone to help them. That there would be a breakthrough of some kind, God, that you would help them to see that that's a permanent solution to a temporary problem, Lord, that you would just bring hope where there is none. Whether it's because of financial losses, whether it's because of the just the state of the world where it's, you know, the, the health and, you know, all of that. Lord, we just pray that you would come and you would bring life and life abundantly. Lord, we thank you for this. In Jesus name.
Yes, and Father, we know there are many around the world who are able financially to be a blessing to others. You know, we remember that you blessed Abraham to be a blessing. You blessed him in every way, shape and form in order to be a blessing to others. And I pray that many who have financial means and the ability to help in large ways.
In ways that they never even done before or even thought about. I pray that you would touch the hearts and minds of these men and women and that they would catch the vision of being blessed in order to be a blessing for just such a time as this. That many would be recipients of the blessing that you want to bring. That they would even catch the blessing of the verse in Proverbs that says that.
When you're generous toward the poor, it's like you're lending to the Lord. And so we're asking that many.
Affluent people would catch the vision of lending to the Lord by giving to the poor, giving to those in need, giving perhaps to companies that can't even pay their own workers. Right now we are praying, Lord, that we'd hear these stories of generosity.
In the coming days. And we are asking this in Jesus name.
Yes, and Lord, I just pray that you would activate the creatives across the globe. The writers, the painters, the sculptors, the dancers, the musicians, just all of the different forms of creativity that are out there. Lord, I just pray you would activate the creativity right now in Jesus name, that you would bring it to the surface, God, that you would use it for your good. That you would just give new songs, you would give new paintings, you would give new ideas, you would give new books, that there would be new things, new creative things that are birthed out of this time. And Lord, we Just thank you for that.
In Jesus name would you give us all, each of us, creative ideas on how we can minister to those around us in very tangible ways?
I know that with many being socially isolated right now, it's difficult and yet not impossible. We know that you can put creative ideas upon our hearts and minds, ways that we can be a blessing as the body of Christ, ways that we can reach out to those around us. And I just pray that you would download those ideas into our minds and that we would be very aware everywhere we go, very, very aware of need and ways that we might be able to help. And would you allow us, Lord, to be very attentive to your spirit's leading? If we have to go to the store or if we have to go to the post office.
If we're walking in our neighborhoods, whatever it might be, and we encounter people that need.
Something from you and you want to utilize us, Lord, would you help us to be attentive to those, those times? And we ask this in Jesus name.
Yes. And as we wind down our time of prayer, we're just going to close in a time of one minute of silence just to ask you to, you know, ask the Lord, what is he saying to you right now? We can speak all these words, but we also want to listen. So, Lord, we just ask right now that you would speak to each one of our hearts. And if you feel comfortable, then share in the comments what you feel like God is saying to you today.
So as we close, I just want to encourage you again to be aware of perhaps that maybe some of you will even set an alarm for the top of each hour over these next 24 hours and just check into this group. There's going to be a new post at the top of each hour that has a different prayer focus. Several we did mention in this first hour, but we're just asking that you would join us in agreement on those prayers. Add in those comments, anything that you want to add. We thank you guys so much for joining us and we're all unified over the course of this next 24 hours as we seek the Lord. And so let's just close this first hour in prayer and ask the Lord to pour out his blessing upon what he wants to do in these days. So Father, we thank you for this first hour of this 24 hour peace over panic prayer vigil. And we are asking that you would bless many through these hours, that many would be encouraged in their own prayer times, that we'd have many that would join us, that perhaps couldn't be on this video with us. And we're asking, Lord, that you would bring about mighty victory all around the world as your people cry out to you in prayer, as your people hold this 24 hour vigil of saying, we are knocking on the door. We are going to continue to knock on the door and we are asking you to pour out your spirit upon a hurting world right now. And we're asking that you would draw men and women and children from all corners of the earth to yourself through this crisis. And we are thanking you ahead of time for every testimony, for every victory that we're going to hear through this. And we'll give you the glory and the honor for all the fruit that you bring about, all of the great testimonies, the supernatural stories, the healings. And we're gonna, we're gonna just continue to knock over the course of these 24 hours and we ask all these things in Jesus wonderful name. Amen.
Amen. I just wanted to share a few of the things you guys had heard from the Lord. Peggy says a new season, that he knows where I am. Amen. Bobby says, more of him and less of me. That's the refiner's fire, right? It's the refining of, you know, getting all that junk of us out, more of him. Beth said, trust. Francis says, trust and press in harder. And Deborah says, yeah, don't forget to pray about the technology, higher usage and thus strain on the resources. Yes, be praying for that as well. Awesome. Awesome. Dawn says, absolutely beautiful and powerful. Thank you so much. You're very welcome. Make sure to share this with anyone you think that would be encouraged by it. And like we said, the top of every hour for the next 22 hours, there will be a written out prayer. We encourage you to say that prayer out loud with us. Type your own prayer in the comments, share those as well. And then tomorrow at noon Eastern, we will come live again just like this for another live video to close out the 24 hours together. So make sure if you can to come back tomorrow for that live video and we'll see you then.
Love you guys.
All right, bye bye.
