In today's episode, we're going to talk about three ways to self publish on a budget without compromising quality. So when it comes to self publishing, is it possible to publish a quality book on a budget? And I want to say a resounding yes, it is. I have helped hundreds, if not thousands of people to publish a book and do it on a budget. You know, I've had some of my Christian Book Academy members tell me that they have saved literally thousands of dollars learning how to do it themselves instead of hiring a company to do it for them. So here are three ways to consider that you can save money and self publish on a budget. The first is to hire the right people. So many companies will offer to publish your book for thousands of dollars. I have literally heard story after story of this, and typically it will cost anywhere from 3,000 to $10,000. And the the truth of the matter is when you remove that middleman, so that company that wants you to hire them to publish your book, if you remove that middleman and then you take the project into your own hands, and then you hire the right people directly, you know, the editor, the person who can format your book, and the book cover designer. When you just go directly to those people, you're cutting out that middleman. And literally you can save thousands of dollars. So, you know, if you have thousands of dollars to publish your book, why not save some of that money and use it instead for things like marketing your book later once it's published, right? And so that's the biggest, biggest thing. Number two is to start small. So your main expense when you're self publishing will be hiring a professional editor. And most editors, you know, charge by the word or by the project. Therefore, when you publish a shorter book, your editing cost will be significantly less. So the first way to save and still have a quality book is to hire the right people. The second way is to consider starting small, smaller, or just starting with a small book. And then the third way is to know where you can cut cost and where you shouldn't. For example, one of the easiest ways to save money when publishing your book is with the formatting. However, you still want to use tools that are cost effective and will give you a final product you're proud to share with the world. So you want to make sure you're using the right tools and that you're, you're not skimping and just, you know, just doing things that you could just invest just a little bit more and have a really higher quality product. So those were just three simple ways. You know, the first one is the most important. Hire the right people. Number two, consider starting small. And number three, know where you can cut costs and where you really shouldn't.
