Hey, Kingdom Writers. Welcome back to the podcast.
This episode is going to be short.
And sweet, but it's just a short excerpt from my Next steps coaching call with my Christian Book Academy members and it answers the question, like, what do you do if you're trying to market a book and write your next book at the same time? How do you manage both? It's actually, it can be simpler than you think. So go ahead and listen and I hope this is helpful to you. If you already have published books and you're like, okay, do I focus on marketing that or do I focus on writing the next one? And so that is something that a lot of writers face. You're not alone in that. And there's always a balance. So there can be different things. So you can have like seasons. And for me personally, I think you have to really know what works best for you. But for me personally, I like to have a certain focus in a season and so then I am really laser focused in that one area and I make lots of progress right in that one thing for. And I'm still doing some other things too, but I have one major focus. And it might be a 90 day period of time, but sometimes it's not always perfectly 90 days. But then you could also have what you think of as like themed days during the week. Mondays might be your marketing day. And you say, okay, I'm gonna do a little bit of marketing. And you know what, marketing is like parenting. You never stop parenting, right? My mom's still parenting me and I'm almost 50 years old. You know, it's like, you know, but you know, it's not like get rich quick thing. It's over time. But if you do a little bit of marketing every week, it's a compound effect. How many of you have heard me talk about that before? It's like the little things that add up over time. Like say you would reach out to one blogger every week at the end of the year. That's 52. And let's just say 10 of those said yes, that's almost one a month. We don't know exactly what's going to happen. We leave the results up to God. But so what you could do is you could have themed days. And and that way you're in your marketing brain on that one day, and then you get into your fiction writing mode on another day.
