#438: The Mosaic of Your Message: How to Go Beyond the Book to Impact Lives

Hey Kingdom Writers. Welcome to this episode and I am so excited to share with you the mosaic of your message, how to go beyond the book to impact lives. And this is specifically for those of you that have already published books, but if you're in the process, I encourage you to listen as well and just it will plant seeds for what is to come later. This is so exciting because I'm really wanting you to think outside the box and how to go beyond just, you know, publishing a book. Although it's not just. I mean, you've put a lot of time and energy into your book, but there's so much more that you can do to impact lives with your book and the content in your book. So I'm really excited for all of you that have already published a book. C.J. and I have published over 70 books now. It's just unbelievable. But for those of you that have have you ever felt like your book is just sitting there waiting to reach more people, but you're not sure what to do next? Or maybe you've wondered if there's a way to amplify your book's impact without feeling like you're starting from scratch or adding more to your plate? But what if I told you that your book is like the cornerstone of something even bigger? A mosaic that's waiting to be complet and that by adding a few simple pieces you can create ripples that will help your message reach further and bless More people. And so I want to introduce you to this concept of the mosaic. And for those of you that are artists, this is going to probably come a little easier. But I want you to think of your book as this first beautiful piece of a mosaic. On its own, it's powerful, it's valuable. But often, you know, God calls us to more to add pieces that complete the bigger picture and share his message more, more fully. And so the other pieces of a mosaic might look like tools that you provide for your readers, opportunities that you have to really teach them and go deeper, or conversations that flow naturally from your book. But together they create this masterpiece that connects with readers deeply, helps them to take action, invites them to discover your book. So, you know, a few more examples might be a downloadable workbook that helps them apply the content that you, you shared in your book. It could be a live workshop where you teach a key idea and then you answer questions. And I found people really love to be live with you. And if live scares you, you can always do prerecorded as well. But these would be paid, paid opportunities and options like a paid downloadable workbook, not a lead magnet that you give away free. Although those are great as well. But I'm talking about this mosaic being other ways that not only can you go deeper with your audience, but you can also earn additional income if that's one of your goals. And then a next steps coaching call for readers who need more guidance. So they want to go one on one and really figure out, how do I do this with my life, how do I go deeper in this way? And you know, these pieces aren't extra. They're like natural next steps that build on the foundation of your book. And they honor the message that God has called you to share. And so when you add these simple pieces, something amazing begins to happen. And your readers experience your message in a deeper, more practical way. And when they experience transformation, they naturally are going to share your book and your other resources with others, creating ripples that spread further than you ever imagined. I mean, we all hope that, you know, we have just people naturally sharing, right? Our book on social media and the word of mouth is so powerful. And that will really happen to a greater extent when someone is really changed and transformed. And a book can do that. But what if somebody comes to a workshop that you host and they leave that workshop with something tangible or some really great aha moment? Or what if they come on a one on one call with you and they just get that one little thing that they needed that tweak that really helps them to move forward. Those are things that are really going to create those ripple effects. And think about it this way. If someone reads your book and then, like I said, attends a workshop or uses a guide you created, they're not just reading, they're applying. And I want you to think about your own life. Books that you've read and you like them, but then you just move on to the next thing. But other books that maybe that you interacted with the author in a deeper way, like maybe you read our Kingdom Writers book and then you came to one of our conferences and you bought the All Access Pass and, or maybe you, you purchased one of our live workshops and you showed up on a live call. Or maybe you joined Christian Book Academy, our group coaching program, and you got some coaching with me. And then you're experiencing all those things in a much deeper way and being able to apply them. And once your readers begin to really see results, they're going to tell their friends and their family and their community and suddenly your message is reaching people you never dreamed of without you having to run ads or figure out SEO or do all the things for marketing, right? And so it's, it's not even about reaching thousands and thousands of people, but the people that you reach, that you go deeper with them and then they naturally become like ambassadors for you and your book. And so these ripples aren't about pushy marketing or doing more. It's really about serving your readers well. So well that they can't help but share your book and your message with others. So, you know, you think about the mosaic, the ripple effect, but then I love thinking about it in the concept also of bridges. So your book is like an island and it's full of treasure and life changing value. And I know you've put your heart and soul into it. And, and when you partner with God as you write your book, it's just a powerful thing. But for readers to discover it, I like to think like they need bridges and paths that invite them to explore your island, so to speak, your book. And when you create something like a resource or a workshop or a coaching opportunity, it doesn't replace your book. It's not like you're just going on to bigger, better things and it actually points readers back to your book. So somebody might actually come to a workshop and then they're just so, so they just love it so much, they're sharing about it. Maybe one of their friends checks out the workshop and then they check out your book. And it's like everything is connecting back so that you know, your readers and your potential readers really get to experience the full impact of the message. So instead of wondering how to market your book, you're creating bridges that draw people in. And these bridges feel natural, relational and purpose. And they all lead back to your book. And so instead of going out and always trying to find new readers, new readers, new readers, new readers, new readers. And like, if you're feeling burned out or you're just not wanting to just do more marketing, what if you provide more impact to the readers you already have? And so this isn't about adding more work, but it's about building simple, purposeful bridges that amplify the message God has given you. And this is really what I have done over the years. And we have created these bridges and these mosaics in actually many different niches. And some of you have been along the ride with us. We've been in business now over 20 years and it's just been amazing all the things that God has had us do to do. And so I just want to teach you more about that.
