Shelley Hitz (host) presents a short miniseries episode on the “Kingdom marketing mindset,” focusing on asking “What’s in your hand?” as a God-centered approach to book marketing. She urges writers to use existing resources (physical books, magazines, software, templates, Facebook groups, conference access) and to hold regular “business meetings with God” to guide marketing stewardship. Concrete examples include a member (Jennifer Waddle) who created a Mother’s Day physical book bundle that sold out, and another member who sold roughly 500 teen magazines to churches after asking what was in her hand. The episode closes with practical encouragement to take small daily actions during the conference, an implementation day, and a prayer.

Hey, Kingdom writers. I thought I would do a short miniseries on the Kingdom marketing mindset. My name is Shelley Hitz, and we really believe that you can integrate God into your book marketing. This can literally transform the things that you do. And our first kickoff for this series was all about business meetings with God. But even if you just implement that one thing of having business meetings with God that I talked about on the previous video, it could literally change the way that you do book marketing moving forward. But today, our topic is what's in your hand? Simple question. And it's something that I think so many times when we think about marketing our books, we gloss over, we skip over. You know, it's easy to want the big bang, you know, to have, you know, a bunch of book sales, do this big book launch, have this new shiny software or this new shiny training that we're trying, that we're trying, when sometimes we just need to step back and say, what is in my hand? What has God given me to do right now? So with book marketing, that. That is the theme of this conference marketing, with collaborations, you might even look around your home and say, okay, do I have extra copies of my book? One of our Christian Book Academy members, Jennifer Waddle, did that, and she took my advice and she put together a book bundle. So it was physical products that went together with her book. She did a special sale for Mother's Day, and I think she's done it several times, and every time, she sold out within a few days. And so it went really well for her. But it all started with her just thinking, well, what's in my hand? She had these books that she had already bought, and she was able to then add some things to it and create this really powerful promotion. Another one of our Christian Book Academy members, when she encountered this question, what's in your hand? She had boxes of magazines for teen girls. She simply parade and asked the Lord, okay, I have this in my hand. What is my next step? Well, she took a step to reach out to pastors in her area and ended up selling many, I think 500 magazines to churches that instead of those magazines now gathering dust, they're out there impacting teen girls lives. And so, you know, sometimes just simply asking, what's in my hand? Now, it might not be a physical thing. It might actually be like, what is it that I have as far as energy, as far as resources? You know, one of the resources you have right now is this conference and is this Facebook group. And you can use this as a tool to help you Sell more books. As you're learning things and as you're taking action on them, I encourage you just, you know, choose one or two things every day during the conference to really take in, take notes and then take action. The last day of the conference you're going to spend with me in an implementation day. It is going to be amazing. And so you're not going to leave this with just a bunch of information. But also, we pray transformation, because you'll actually put it to use. But, you know, you might have a certain software that you can use, or you might have something that you've purchased, a previous training or something. Templates. We, we provide tons of templates for you in our membership. And you know, there might be things that you already have. What is in your hand? Ask the Lord what's in my hand right now. I really believe that marketing our books is a matter of, is a matter of stewardship. God has given you the message, he's given you this book. And now it is our responsibility to follow his lead, right? Have those regular business meetings with God, but then to step out and use the things we have. Maybe you don't even have a budget for marketing right now. That's okay. You, you're here, you can watch the conference for free for 48 hours. You can implement what you've learned. You can do things that don't require a huge budget right now. What is in your hand? If you just focus on everything you don't have, on what isn't happening, it can really take you down. But I encourage you today just to ask God that simple question. What. What is in my hand? So let me pray for you and let me know in the chat box what is in your hand today and what step will you take. So, God, thank you so much for every Kingdom writer joining us for this conference. I just pray that you would just bless them and show them today what's one thing that they already have in their hand that they could even start implementing and using today. There might be even something that someone takes a step on today that begins to impact lives because their books are getting into people's hands. So I just pray that you would lead and guide each one of us, Lord. I just pray that we would follow you. Your yoke is easy, your burden is light, and that you would give us the kingdom marketing mindset as we move forward to sell our books. We pray this in Jesus powerful name. Amen.
