Dermatologist Shereene Idriss explains that retinol doesn't thin skin, it stimulates collagen. Retinol can irritate some people, but alternatives exist that deliver the same benefits without the sensitivity.

Whoever said that needs their medical degree taken away. Proven ingredient over time that stimulate collagen production. They are not going to make you look worse in the long run. There is, however, a little red flag with retinols. It can be irritating. So if retinols are irritating to you and you just can't tolerate them, I got other ingredients that you could use in your routine to help yourself.
