This is how gets perpetuated on social there's like a trend now that's basically saying there's a big difference between sunblock and sunscreen. This is not correct. We are not taking 10 steps forward to take 100 steps back. Sunblock is an outdated term. Nobody really uses that word anymore. And I think what you're inferring here is that sunblock refers to physical filters and sunscreen refers to chemical filters. Because in the past, it was just overly simplified, and physical filters were basically marketed as blocks or shields to the sun, whereas chemical sunscreens were not. The reality is, chemical and physical filters work the same way in that they take UV radiation and transform it into heat, whereas physical ones also has the small percentage ability to also reflect the sun. But how you use them, or what you use, is based on preference. One is not superior necessarily to the other.
