Richard Bowen from Elite Archery shows how to tune fixed-blade broadheads to hit the same spot as field points using SET technology. He shoots a field tip first, then a broadhead that drifts left, adjusts the SET a quarter turn top and bottom, and gets both arrows grouping within 0.25 to 0.5 inches.

Hi, I'm Richard Bowen, pro shooter for Elite archery, and we're going to go over how easy it is with set technology to get your fixed blade broadheads to fly exactly like your field tips. So a lot of people's solution to the problem of their broad heads and their field points hitting different spots is just to move their sights over to accommodate where their broadheads are hitting. Essentially, they have one setting on their sights for their fixed blade broadheads and one setting for their field points. But with the SEC technology, now with a couple small adjustments, you can bring those two points together and have one sight setting for both fixed blades and your field points right in the middle. So first thing we're going to do, we're going to shoot a field tipped arrow right here at our target. See where we're at, make sure we're on, and we'll shoot a fixed blade and adjust accordingly. Okay, so that one was right in the middle. So we know where field points are sighted in good and dead on. Now we got our fixed blade. We'll do the exact same thing and see where it hits. So we're slightly left by half to three quarters of an inch compared to where our field tips hit. So this is our broadhead impacted left of our field tips. That's a tail right condition coming out of the bow. Now it's going to steer the broadhead to the left because the nose of the arrow is to the left of the tail. If the broadhead had impacted to the right, that'd be a tail left. So we'll come over here to our sticker and because we had a tail right, we'll give it just a small turn. We'll go about a quarter of a turn on the top and we'll do the same amount on the bottom, about one quarter of a turn, tail right and see what that does for us. We got our field tip. Now we're going to just confirm we're still dialed in, hitting the middle. Then we'll shoot our fixed blade and see how our set adjustment did for us. Okay, so our fill tip is still hitting the middle. We've made our set adjustment to our fixed blade and we'll shoot it now and compare how the two hit in relation to each other. Now, yeah, we actually hit the back of our first arrow and cut the vein right there. So you can see that's within a half to quarter inch of the exact same impact spot as our field tip. So just that small adjustment to our set system got our field points and broadheads from hitting like this to being right in the same spot.
