Hey guys. Shane, Great Plains Bow company Today I want to talk about our longbows and kind of what we started with. And I'll kind of go through the series of what we got. Great Plains started with this bow right here. Of course this is quite a bit different than the first one looked. But this is our A model longbow. It does have some D flex in it, but it still would be considered a D shaped longbow. It's a great shooter. This particular bow is 68 inches long. We build them 52 to 72. We can build a wide range of lengths in the longbows. This is more of a straight limb design, great for hunting 3D shooting. I'll string this up for you and you can see the limb profile on it. We call it our A model or traditional longbow if you're going to order one through the website. Really a great shooter. Real fast and smooth. After that Great Plains came out with our reflex Deflex longbow or what we call our B model longbow. And you can see this is our Blackhawk model. There's quite a bit more deflex and reflex. If you look at it from this angle, there is quite a bit of it. See that? Good. All of our longbows, you can get them in one piece or two piece. This is two piece. Got the socket and tenon system. No tools needed. Carbon and glass sleeve. Very efficient, fast to put together, stays together. You don't know it's a two piece when you're shooting. It feels like a one piece. So I will string this one up for you so you can see the limb profile in action. This bow is. Would primarily be used for hunting although some guys use it for 3D. But it's when it's strung up, you know it's not your D shape. It's got too much of a. It's more. The limb straightens out pretty good which gives it a lot of speed and smoothness. Very fast bow. Great hunting bow. There it is, full draw. And that's our B model longbow or a reflex deflex longbow. I think it's up there on the website as reflex deflex longbow. If you want to order one, I'll move on to the the straight laid bow. This is a heel style bow, ASL longbow. These bows, the way we, the way we taper our, our cores and lay these things up, they are an incredible performing heel style bow. Probably one of the best if not the best performing heel style I've ever shot. There's a Little bit of back set in it. There's about 2 degrees of back set in this bow and it looks pretty much perfectly straight when you're looking at it. But if you look at it, there's just a slight bit of back set. It's definitely got some string follow in this bow which on a string follow heel bow you get more smoothness. But that back set gives you a little bit more stored energy. Overall, it's just an incredibly high performing heel style bow. We put our little spin to it, we gave it a little bit more contours right through the handle. So it's not a perfectly straight heel style bow. We can build them that way. We can build them perfectly straight. We have found that you get a lot more performance from a grip that has just a little bit more contour into it. So all in all it's a great heel style bow. These are priced very reasonably. You can also get these in a one piece or a two piece. They're a very high performing shooter. And I'll string this up for you. So you can see it's traditional D shape. Draw it there. Again you can get these in almost unlimited lengths. 52, we could build a 48 inch one. We could build them probably as low as as the archer would like and all the way up to 72 inches. So lots, lots of options on this here longbow. Any sort of leather grip or anything. But it's a great shooting heel style. Now I'll show you our three piece longbow. This has been very popular throughout the years. And these also you can get in a huge variety of lengths. We can build this bow clear out to 72 inches also or as as short as 48 inches. So got lots of options on that. The way the limbs mount in here, the limb pad is on a slight angle, but it makes for a lot of stored energy throughout the power stroke of this bow. This limb has just a little bit of deflex in it and a nice amount of reflex which makes for a really aggressive high performing longbow. I will string this up for you. There it is at full brace. Somewhat of a D shaped design to it. Incredibly smooth to draw and it's a fast bow also. So that's our three piece longbow. It would be somewhere in the middle on the limb profile between the A model traditional longbow, this one and the B model reflex deflex longbow. So we got a new longbow that we just came out with and we're really excited about it. This is an ambidextrous Longbow. And I know I made another video about it, but it definitely bears showing off because it is for great plains and for the archery world. It is revolutionary. The way we did this is we put the shelf on the same side as the riser. So. So you got a right hand or left hand when you build a bow like this. Tiller, of course, is a problem. The shelf is 2 inches above center. So if you make an even tiller bow, it is extremely difficult to tune an arrow to will not have the correct tiller, which. The tiller, of course, is the difference between the strength of the top limb versus the bottom limb in relation to hand placement on the string. So on this particular bow, we have managed to find a solution for that problem. And the way we've done that, of course, is these two knocking points on both sides. So it has an adjustable tiller. So if I were to shoot this bow right handed, I'm gonna put the string on the bottom or the closest to the riser on the bottom limb. And I'm gonna put it on the top, on the top limb. Let me string this up for you quick. So there it's strung up for you. And by having that top string groove, putting the string on the top, essentially, we have weakened this top limb in relation to the bottom limb and corrected the tiller so that the tiller will be perfect to shoot right handed on this. If we're gonna do it left handed, we're just going to reverse this. This will go down here and up here. And you have adjusted the tiller for left handed. Very simple, but extremely effective. And with an ambidextrous bow, you no longer have a tiller problem. It definitely is an important thing to consider when you think about an ambidextrous bow with the shelf on the same side. Tiller is a problem. And if you tiller that bow even, it will not shoot an arrow correctly. If you work hard enough with your arrows, you may get an arrow to come out of it fairly good with an even tiller, but it will not be consistent. So changing this tiller so that it's adjustable and that is correct tiller for where the. For the shelf location is extremely vital to the performance of this bow or any bow. There you have it, the ambidextrous longbow. Last but not least, our youth longbow. This is a really popular little longbow. It's a whole lot of bow for the price. And our young archers absolutely love this bow. It's got mild reflex deflex. Actually, it's not. It's not even that mild. There's actually quite a bit in there, but it's really high. Performing this bow will zip an arrow very fast. Standard, they come with this leather wrap grip and they are all 52 inches. The youth longbow, very fast little bow. The draw length on it, they're measured at 24 inches. So a little bit shorter for a short bow. Fast, high performing youth longbow. On our longbows, we can also add customizations to the grips. You can get a forward handle grip. You know, with the thumb rest you can get that type of grip. You can get thumb grips like horn or antler that are laid in there. I don't believe I have one in the longbow. You can get this on your longbow for a thumb grip and then just the traditional longbow handle on top of the thumb grip there. So some options you can go for. We can definitely build custom options into the grips on our longbows. This here, we don't build a two piece in this configuration of a forward handle longbow. So that would be restricted down to one piece for this. This type of forward handle configuration. So that's a quick overview of our longbows at Great Plains. Thanks for watching.
