In this bilingual (English‑Hindi) motivational talk delivered in Ahmedabad, Shrenik Shah, a 21‑year survivor of stage‑4 vocal‑cord cancer, thanks the oncologists who saved his life and shares his personal journey from near‑death in 1997 to a thriving post‑cancer existence. He describes his commitment to help others, highlighting his role as an ambassador for the Cancer Aid digital platform (connecting with ~12,000 patients and caregivers across Australia, the US, and the UK), his upcoming invitation as the sole Indian speaker at the World Adenoid Cancer Conference in Nottingham, and his media features (Amber Canson Foundation book, a documentary with his partner in London, and a Google project on alternative speech methods). Interspersed with vivid metaphors—cancer as a stallion, the need to “ride” it, mindfulness, and the “butterfly” of freedom—he urges survivors and caregivers to stay resilient, use technology, and support one another. The talk concludes with an open invitation for further assistance and a light‑hearted offer to share coffee.
