A parent's anger might get kids to obey right now, but it plants resentment and fear that backfire later. Children raised this way grow up resisting authority and feeling internal frustration, not respect. Anger produces compliance, not discipline.
I don't know whether it's a true conception or misconception, but if I don't get angry with my child, my child will not be disciplined. That is such a misconception. In fact, if I get angry with my child, for short term I have built discipline, but for long term I have built resentment to authority. I have built fear. I have built compliance, which is not going to last permanently. Discipline that is coming out of anger is so short-lived. The danger is, as these children are becoming young adults, they are becoming more and more Frustrated from within.
