Hi, Sajitha! I am so, so, so excited to welcome you in our Supermom Spotlight. Can start with a brief introduction about yourself? I would be grateful.
Um, I'm Sajitha, I'm from Bangalore, and I'm more of a homemaker. My husband works from home, he's an artist, so I help him in his things, but I'm mostly a homemaker with the children. I completely give my time and thing to the children, and my older daughter is 10 My younger one is 6. My daughter, the older one, she would come from school and she would just like— suppose she reaches at 4, she wouldn't wash up, she wouldn't eat. I know she's hungry, but she wouldn't eat, and she wouldn't wash her hands or legs, or she wouldn't, you know, shower. And she would actually sit on the floor rebelling against anything we say till 7 o'clock. This was continuous. It was not even We didn't know what to do about it. Anything we say nicely, not nicely, anything, nothing would work. This was very long. And mornings she wouldn't wake up for school. She would wake up like 5-10 minutes before the bus and she would just hurry up and leave. No breakfast, no nothing. She would just leave. And most days it would leave on a fight. I would come back crying and I would be like, what am I doing? What is going on? Why is this? I really felt like hopeless, helpless situation it was. And she was only like 8 or 9, and how can— as in, people like, is it preteen? Is it hormones? All sorts of questions like, but still, how would she be here? Why is she behaving like that? And we just couldn't connect with her on any level. And from that to now is a huge, vast difference. Zero learning, zero homework, zero— uh, she will go to school, but she will show zero interest in the morning to wake up and go. School is a really nice place. She really used to like— she loves going to school, but still she would, you know, show us all that behavior. Like you say, was the message to us. Your classes, Feb, I started the, um, challenge, the 21-day challenge. From there, uh, when I started doing those, her receptiveness to what I was saying started changing. Okay. And the communication scripts Every single script that you had was happening to her. She would say, "Get out, I hate you, and you don't love me, and leave me alone." She would slam the door. When I'm saying it, I can't even believe these things happened because now it's nothing like it. So she would just slam the door. Once she slammed the door, she locked it and she slept off inside, and we got really worried, and we're knocking, knocking, knocking, and we're like— then my husband had to like push it open, break it open. She was fast asleep. She was that rebellious, she was that upset with the way that we were dealing with her. And I am so glad to have come across you. You were like the angel sent from above, literally. Like, after that 21-day challenge, then I started doing the communication scripts. Those, she was very receptive to. I myself was shocked when I started saying them, and she would be so receptive to it. I could see the change in her. Like, she would listen, which she would never do before. And, uh, that— I mean, those were the two main things that started the change. Then I knew I needed more, and, uh, and that's how I joined the, um, Diamond Mom Manifestor calls. Every Mom Manifestor call was a message literally that I needed that day. There were a few messages in the Mom Manifestor calls that was so strong. Even my children say it now because I use it to them every day. Teach me through peace and happiness, not through pain. That was such a powerful message.
So, Sajita, if you can tell us 3 words maybe to describe yourself before, how you were, and maybe 3 words after the learning, after the coaching session.
Thoughtfulness, with how I would say it before and now. Thoughtlessly before and thoughtfully now. That's the biggest change in knowing that the children are more pure and more smarter than us. And the pause. I would just immediately start getting angry and saying things, like maybe mean things, maybe rude things. Now I take that pause and I just look at them with love. Yeah. I think, like I said, every positive statement I use, I use one every day.
Amazing. And what would you say happened to your child, if you can describe your child before to now?
Now she's so much receptive, like she's ready to listen. She would never listen to me before. Like, so yeah, she's receptive to hearing and learning. Um, what else? I mean, she, she has reduced her anger. Before, when she used to go to school, she would climb to the bus. She wouldn't want us anywhere near us, and she would just get into the bus and she wouldn't even look at me. Now I drop her to school, she goes in, she gives me a hug, she gives me a kiss. And if I don't give her, she'll be like, gimme gimme. And then I would give her a kiss, and then she would get off the car, and outside the car she'd keep waving at me till I turn, and then she'll turn and she'll— and she's a 10-year-old. And she'll turn and go back into school, and she'll turn back and wave at me. And I think it's 2-3 times, and I'm— my heart is just so full when she does that. From where it was and from how it has turned out to be now, that is just—
yeah. So you've become her parent shoot, right? You've become her safe space now.
I'd really like to think.
She feels safe with you.
Wow.
And how do you think this will help her as she goes into, you know, higher grades and college and as she becomes an adult?
So much more because she shares everything now. Like that whole bullying thing that used to happen last year, she never talked about it. That's how we never knew. And when we started opening up in Jan, that's how it started coming out to us. And, uh, she started trusting us that she can start telling us things and she knows it's her safe space now.
Yes.
So yeah, like when she grows, I mean, she already tells me everything. She's like, she tells me, come put me to bed, I have so many stories to tell you. And I'd be like, yes, of course, I want to hear it.
