A parenting coach argues that packaged foods damage kids' health and that parents should cook at home and delay supermarket trips until age 15 or 16. She says adolescents need support through hormonal and cognitive changes to learn how to make powerful choices.
Chapters
Parenting coach and a mental health counselor. I basically work with parents to bring out the best in their children, specifically 7 to 18 years of age. Honestly, during this period, a lot of changes are happening hormonally, cognitively, emotionally, and physically in your child, and children at this age need a lot of help. My sole message to you is stop grabbing on-the-go packages. Take the time to make food at home. More home-cooked food that you give, the better your child will be physically, emotionally, and mentally, right? So let's take out the time to cook for our children. Even the on-the-go meals like probably chips or cookies, let's make them at home instead of buying them off a supermarket. Honestly, a child should not be exposed to the supermarket till they are at least 15 or 16, till they know that they need to make healthy choices. Once your child is trained to make healthy choices, expose them to the market where they will actually subconsciously and intentionally make healthy choices. Let's together raise children who make powerful decisions that influence their entire life.
