Protect Our Kids!!

Parents describe their children, ages 7 to 10, seeing condom ads and horror movie trailers during the India vs Pakistan cricket match. They're calling on broadcasters and the Indian government to enforce age-appropriate ad restrictions during family-hour broadcasts, similar to movie ratings.

I never thought I would be forced to have this conversation between a cricket match.
India vs Pakistan, my perfect evening with the entire family.
And then suddenly between overs, a condom ad, a horror trailer, an adult series promotion.
And my 8-year-old turned to me and asked, "Mama, what is a condom?" I saw my 10-year-old closing her eyes when she saw a horror trailer. I know some people will say, "What's the big deal?" Isn't it better that they learn about this with us watching rather than alone? But here's the truth.
It's not about the words.
It's about the when and the how.
A cricket match watched by millions of families with different generations, it's not a safe space for a complex sensitive conversation.
It's not the time when a 7-year-old should be exposed to sexual content.
Without context, without understanding. As parents, we're not trying to hide reality.
We want to teach our children about their bodies, about safety, about choices, but we want to do it when they are ready, in a safe, age-appropriate environment.
They don't educate, they confuse.
They plant curiosity before readiness, and they take away a piece of childhood that can never be gotten back.
We are forced to indulge into this even if we don't want to at that time.
This is not about denying education, it's about protecting context.
It's about asking for one simple thing, that public broadcasts, especially during family hours, stay family safe.
Just like movies have an age limit, so should ads. During a family event, age-appropriate ads need to be played. And if this happened in my house yesterday, I am sure it's happened in thousands of homes all across the country, and children have been forced to feel threatened and confused.
Now is the time to say enough is enough. Every parent watching this, please comment below, protect our kids, share this reel.
And I truly request the government of our country and Narendra Modi ji to create guidelines that protect innocence and empower education, that don't make our children victims of untimely education, because There is always a time and place for everything, and once the innocence is gone, we can never bring it back. My request is, please don't expose our children to danger.
Let us make sure that family events are family-friendly for all age groups and they are safe.
Thank you so much, and I know that you will take the necessary steps.
