The Letter Q

Question rude comments, failures, and self-doubt instead of accepting them. Write down the statement, list pros and cons, and reason through whether it's true. You get to choose what you internalize, like accepting or refusing a chocolate.

Hi, welcome back to the A to Z series of increasing your self-esteem. Yesterday we spoke about posture, standing straight, sitting erect to feel good and confident. Today we have the letter Q, and for Q I have question. Okay, question is very different from ask. When I spoke about ask, I was telling you to ask either the divine or yourself or an authority about any question that you have. Ask the Divine for happiness, ask the Divine for peace, ask your teacher if you have any question, raise your hand up, ask yourself what you're doing, where you're going wrong. Today I have question. Now for question, I'm saying question yourself, question a rude comment, or question a situation. Now for example, if someone has said something rude to me or some— something that I didn't like, which is automatically making me feel underconfident or making me feel inferior to others, Question the statement. For example, if someone says, "You're very rude," question that in your own head. Write, make down, write down notes, write the pros and cons. Am I rude? In this situation I was rude, in that situation I was not rude. Does it make me rude? Once you've logically reasoned it out, you know the answer. If you think you're rude, work on it, otherwise ignore it. But before taking what anyone else has said, question that statement in your own head. Question yourself whether it's actually true or it's not, and then work towards that. Now, if somebody gives me a chocolate, it's up to me whether I take that chocolate or I don't, right? I can give the chocolate back, I can say I don't want the chocolate. Similarly, when someone says something rude to you or something hurtful to you or about you, it's up to you whether you take that hurtful statement in Or whether you shut the door, you leave it, you say, "I don't want to take that hurtful statement," you give it back. That's what it means to question. Question yourself whether the hurtful statement was actually true or not. Question what is stopping you. When you're having some kind of a failure, when you're not feeling good, when you have not done very well either in an exam or in a life situation or in your business, question yourself. What was the roadblock? What was the obstacle? What stopped you from doing well? Once you have written down these 3 questions, write down the answers. Almost all the times, the answers are within you. You have the answers to all your questions. Question yourself, get answers, and then work towards it. Today, question anything hurtful that has been said to you. For you or anything that has been stopping you in any way. I hope you enjoyed today's tip. I'll see you next time with the letter R. Bye!
