Siddharth Rajsekar breaks down three principles for faster learning: gamify goals with visible rewards across three stages, fragment the learning path into basecamps with clear milestones, and chunk content into 5-10 minute videos using a what-why-how-what next template. More information doesn't equal better results; simplification and engagement do.

The attention span of people are really low these days. And if you really want to get your students to go through courses and experience a 10x learning, this is the podcast for you. Take a lot of notes. Siddharth Vadsheki here. Let's dive in.
If you just think that by giving more information or having longer videos in your courses, you're going to be getting a very good testimonial and customer results and student results, I'm sorry to say that it's not true. Giving more does not equal to more results. More is actually more confusing in a world with so many distractions. In this particular podcast, I'm going to break it down into explaining to you how I've been able to get more than 70% completion rate on my courses and a very high retention. In fact, in my learning management system, there have been more than 200,000 people who have shared their comments below my courses not based on what I teach, but the way I teach it. And having created more than 50 to 60 courses in the last five years and also done multiple revisions and iterations of it, I've kind of understood the formula on how it works. How do you get your students learn 10x faster, even if they are brand new and stuff like that. Now if you actually go back to this thing called the Learning Pyramid, it says that the most unproductive way of learning is by listening to a lecture. And then comes reading. After reading comes audio, visual, then demonstration, discussion groups. So the first thing I want to mention to all of you here is that old styles of passive teaching methods do not work as effectively as how it used to work even 10, 15 years ago because of the digital age that we are in. So the participatory teaching methods like discussion groups, practicing by doing, teaching others, all of these are much more effective than any any other forms of learning through games and activities and stuff like that, than any other form of learning. But having said that, I know many of you here listening to this podcast are knowledge givers, your coaches, or aspiring to create your own online course to create some leverage. Now, if you are not able to get the insights of what I'm going to share with you in this podcast, there's a high probability that you will create a course, you'll put it out there, but it'll be too boring for people. They'll not even complete that course. So how do you really create that kind of a 10x engagement in your courses is what I'm going to cover over here. Now, if you look at the formal education system. Most people who come from the formal education system, they have this idea that more information equals more knowledge equals more results. So formal education is built on the foundation of volume of information and memorization. Okay. But if you look at the digital coaching process, if you want to really get your students to learn faster, it's all about simplification and gamification. If you get this one point, everything else will fall into place because it's like giving you a map of a city like Mumbai, for example, and you have to mug up the entire map. That is option one. And option two is you don't have to mug up the map. You just need to open up Google Maps and know how to go from point A to point B. Okay. You don't have to know about all the areas in Mumbai. You just need to know how to go from the place where you are to where you want to go. And that is how you need to approach digital coaching. Digital coaching is like giving your students a Google map to get to from point B, from point A, wherever they are in whichever topic that you're teaching. So I'm going to give you three really powerful principles that I've been implementing in my course design, in my curriculum design, which now, when you go through my courses, those of you are in my community, when, when you listen to this podcast and then go through my courses, you will understand the method behind the madness and you'll be able to see through what I'm actually saying. And now if you're not a part of my community, you can click on the link on the description below or just go to sidzsids co live and attend my next live webinar and learn how you can be a part of my community. Okay. Or just go to internetlifestylehub.com and you can join us. Now, the first concept I want to share with you is goal gamification. Note this down in your notepads. Goal gamification, you have to know what outcomes your students are looking for. So, for example, if you're teaching people how to lose weight, now, the goal is to lose weight, but there could be other parameters besides weight loss. For example, it's not just about losing weight. It's about having more energy in the body, having, building better immunity, having a better fitness, sleeping well, and all these other parameters. If your body is in a good state, you'll automatically be able to lose weight. Okay, so once you know what are the parameters, ideally should have six parameters to identify the outcome and the result for any topic. So if it is business growth. The easy outcome is what to create more revenues and get more sales. But the other outcomes are, which are other parameters you can evaluate are do they have their systems and process in place? Do they have the right teams in place? Are they using the right tools? Are they able to, do they have the right marketing strategy? Do they have the right lead magnet to attract the leads? Do they have a good conversion process? Okay, now all of these are parameters that lead to the big goal of getting more sales and getting more reviews. So once you've defined your six parameters as a part of goal gamification is then you have to design three stages of goals. So coming to the business example, you know, setting up teams, setting up systems, marketing strategy, you know, outreach strategy, conversion strategy, these are the six parameters. You can create three stages of goals where the first stage is like a activity based goal. So put them through a six mission hackathon or some kind of a, you know, challenge where you're going to be working on these six parameters and helping the business owner move forward. Like in the case of weight loss, even though the goal is weight loss, you're going to help them work on these six parameters. The first parameter could be hydration, drinking enough water, moving enough eating, eating the right nutritious food, having a strong mindset and all the different parameters, you're going to actually make them take actions. And if they complete those actions, you can give them an award which is an activity based reward or an award. In my case we have something called the Freedom finisher where once they have their knowledge, business set up and they're ready to launch to the world, once they've opened up shop, that's the first award that I give. The second award you need to give is a result based award. So let's say if somebody in the weight loss example has followed those six parameters or has followed the steps in the in those six areas and they have lost maybe five kilos of weight in a particular duration of time, then you can interview them and you can give them an award. Like in my case I have a hall of fame award if anybody crosses 3 lakhs in revenues. Okay, if it's in the business case, you can evaluate the six parameters. If they have set up their team or if they have improved their efficiency in their operations, or if they have improved, they have got their marketing strategy right and they start to get some revenues coming into their bank, then you can give the second award, which is a result based award. So the first award is an activity based award. The Second award is a result based award. But it is a small result. It's a breakthrough, the first milestone result. And then you need to have the third reward which is a superstar award. Like in my case, I have something called the 1 crore champion. This award is the coaching industry's, I would say everybody in the training and coaching world, they are aspiring to get the 1 crore champion award from me on stage, which is an aspirational thing. Now it normally takes one to two years for somebody to come to the point of getting a 1 crore champion award. So the first step to get 10x faster learning in your students is right in the beginning of your videos. Talk about the six parameters you're going to evaluate them on, talk about the three stages that they need to go through and talk about the ultimate goal and talk about how they need to go through this process of learning to ultimately receive that award from you. So when you dangle the carrot and when you actually show that students will take action, the second concept I want to share with you is path fragmentation. If you go to Internet lifestylehub.com and there's on the menu item, if you click on the path there, I have a very beautifully designed pathway. Now what does a path fragmentation mean? If you have to climb a mountain, there are different base camps that you need to go through. Okay, you can't directly just walk towards the peak. So path fragmentation is identifying what are those base camps that students need to go through. And these three stages of goals can be those base camps. Now to, to reach each base camp, the student needs to know what they need to learn and what they need to do. Okay, so in other words, path fragmentation is having absolute clarity on what is a learning path for a student and what is implementation path for the student to reach that particular basecamp. And if they complete those assignments, then they go to the next basecamp and the next basecamp and then they reach the peak. And the peak is going to be that ultimate award that you're going to be giving them. So path fragmentation is defining the base camps, defining the learning path, and defining the implementation path. And along the way you can also have a certification path. If they complete so many number of base camps, you can give some certifications if you want. This can be applied in a business niche, in a career niche, in a health niche, in a wealth niche, relationship niche. Whatever may be the topic, path fragmentation can really accelerate the journey for your students. And finally, number three is content chunking, chunking down complex ideas into simple micro learning topics. Now, when you're going to be designing a course. Ideally you need to keep in mind that a normal person will not be able to spend more than 60 minutes per day in one sitting. So what I try to do is, is whenever I'm designing a course, I try to make sure that, that a person who's entering that particular course is able to finish that course in one sitting itself. In crisp, to the point fast paced, action oriented videos, which I'm able to give it to them in small chunks. Instead of recording a 40 minutes video, I'll break that entire concept down to five, five, five, five minute videos. Okay? So if you're going to do a three day course, think in terms of 60 minutes per day into three days. Each day they learn for they can probably run through 10 videos or you know, 12 videos. Each video for five to 10 minutes maximum in duration. Okay? So if you're going to do a three day course, 60 minutes per day. If you're going to do a one day course, again, think in terms of 60 minutes per day. That is the, the thumb rule, okay? That's how I, I like to go through it. And when I start my course itself, I tell people that please make sure that you complete this course in one setting itself in it's only going to be for one hour maximum. I may stretch it to maybe 90 minutes. But the best part is when people complete that entire course within 16 minutes to 90 minutes, they feel so good. They feel they've got a lot in one place. And even for you to design a course like that, you will not beat around the bush. No fluff, you just remove all the fluff, get straight to the point and give them the steps. Tell them exactly what they need to do. Okay, and how do you really create these kind of content chunking every video? You can either break that video down to six steps or three things. Okay, six steps to achieving this particular or completing this task. Three things that you got to do to complete this one step. So imagine basecamp to basecamp, there are going to be many, many, many steps. And if you can cover each of the steps, because if you're climbing the mountain, you got to take steps moving towards the base camp. For every six steps, imagine that there is a small video and the next six steps as a video, next six steps as a video, next six steps as a video. So it becomes easy for them to consume where in the video. Also there's a template that you can follow. The first part of the video you can talk about what is this all about? What is this video all about. The second part of the video is why is this concept important? And the third part of the video is how you can actually implement this and give them the how part. And then the last part of the video is, what next? Tell them. Just like when you're watching a TV series on Netflix, you say, in the next episode this is going to happen. So they open the loop where the loop is going to be closed on next episode. So if you're able to take the, you know, the soap opera concept where in the beginning of the video you ask people to take notes, at the end of the video you ask people to share notes and as you're closing, you can say, in the next video, I'm going to teach this, so do not miss this and move to the next video. So when you're able to create those kind of open loops at the end of each video, opening up into the next video, the acceleration and the way that students would consume through those videos will be really fast. And again, if these videos are less than five minutes to the point fast, you're sharing PPTs, mind maps, giving concepts high energy in the videos. That's going to really make a huge difference. So these are the three secrets that I'd like to share with you if you want to get your students to learn 10x faster through digital courses. Number one, goal, gamification. Number two, path fragmentation, and number three, content chunking.
