Do you feel that there are so many people that are online and it becomes hard for you to cut through the noise? And do you want to learn what does it really take to build trust with your audience? That's what I'm going to cover in this podcast. Let's get in.
Hey there, Siddharth Rajshek here. Welcome to yet another episode of the Freedom Business podcast. And if you'd like to get more of such episodes, please subscribe to me on Apple and Spotify so that you get more of this. So the topic today is about trust. Today, social media is growing. There are so many people doing similar things. Lot of noise in the marketplace. Now the question is, how do you truly build trust? How do you attract the right people coming to you? So there are three pillars when it comes to trust, meaning there are three important foundational elements. If you don't get right, you will never be able to build trust. You cannot buy trust using ads. There are many marketers who spend a lot of money on YouTube ads, Facebook ads, and they get visibility. You can buy attention, but you can't buy trust. Trust has to be earned. That's the first concept I want to share with you. Now let's get to the three pillars. The first pillar of trust is to remove any kind of filters or masks that you may be wearing in your positioning, meaning you got to be authentic. Authenticity is the first pillar. Now what are the masks that one can wear? Projecting a particular image in to the world, which you may not be. That's one area. The other thing, other masks could be hiding your insecurities, not exposing your vulnerabilities. So authenticity has a lot to do with being vulnerable.
And vulnerability is, I would say, the. The currency to gaining, to being truly authentic. Okay, that's the first pillar. Now the second pillar of trust building, it's not just about sharing all of your stories and, you know, being open and vulnerable, that is important. But you also need to solve people's problems by presenting whatever information you're presenting with a strong logic. So the second pillar of trust building is logic. Okay, Presenting information, the strong logic. So you're catering to the, the left side of the brain, you know, the right side of the brain is more the heart, you know, more on the creative side. But this is more to do with your ability to convey your concepts in a crisp, sublime way that connects with your audience where there's a strong logic. When. So when, when people are listening to you, when they're watching your videos, when they are listening to your podcast and they just feel like, yes, this person knows or she's talking about and you can, and your ability to substantiate that with data points and, and tactics or strategies, that's going to help you build trust and authority in your domain of expertise. So that's the second pillar. The third pillar is this. People don't care about how much you know until they know how much you care for them.
The third pillar of trust is empathy. You really need to care for people where genuinely you should be happy about other people's success. In fact, that is the secret to true trust building is when you at a core level are happy to see other people successful. On the other side of the spectrum, you have people who are envious, who are jealous, who are having, who want to put other people down. Okay, those people, it's going to be hard for them to really break the trust barrier. They will use whatever they can to gain trust. But at some point of time, the market will be able to see through that at a subconscious level, at an energetic level. So empathy comes when you are non judgmental, when you're able to accept people from various backgrounds, faiths, religions, caste, culture, creeds for who they are.
And by understanding people's situation and by truly being a people lover. You know when I say people lover is genuinely caring for others success.
That is empathy. So when you have authenticity, logic and empathy as your three pillars.
And with the center stone there saying that you can't buy trust, you have to earn it. And how do you earn it? By showing up, by vocalizing your thoughts and by really helping other people get whatever result that they're looking for. Like when all of these factors come together, that's when you can truly.
Be trustworthy. And the interesting thing about trust is you can take many years to build trust, but it takes only a few seconds to lose that trust.
That is why having a code of honor is important. Having a set of core values are important.
And that's why following this formula that I got from my mentor is even more important. Where he says mission first, community second, me third. If you are able to prioritize your decisions in this sequence, you're not going to go wrong. And most people who lose trust after building trust for many years is where they might have made a decision with a me first mindset that they wanted to gain something out of it.
