Do you sometimes feel numb when it comes to technology and you feel that there's so much to do while actually building and growing a coaching business? If that's the case, this podcast is for you. I'm going to be sharing with you six ways on how you can bust this fear for good.
I still remember the first time I walked into my sound engineering institute in the year 2001. There were around 20 people in that batch and in that entire batch I was the one who felt that I was technologically so challenged that means I did not know anything about computers. All of my friends were talking about RAM and ROM and this and that, and I felt so out of place. And I remember on that day when I actually entered the first day of school and the College institute and I experienced this, I decided that by the by the time I leave this institute, I need to overcome all of this. Because if I was going to continue in that same pattern of thinking of myself as a non technology person, then there's no way I could have got through that entire institute. In fact, by the end of those nine months, I was able to completely rip apart a studio and put it back together, whether it's an analog studio or a digital studio. So what I'm going to share with you in this audio will be really inspiring for you because I've been through that same journey of having fear with technology, but facing it head on. And right now, if you see, I can qualify myself as a geek in this space. And I just fell in love with the whole process of how to approach overcoming technology hurdles and especially in a coaching business. I know many of you here who are listening to this may be in my community or maybe above 40, 50 plus in age and you have kind of thought to yourself that maybe this is not the right thing for me, or maybe this is, you know, only for people who are more acclimatized to technology and stuff like that. But having said that, the answer is anybody can change, anybody can grow. It doesn't matter whether you're 75, 80 years old, it does not matter whether you're a 9 year old kid. Today we are living in a world where if you are not adapting and adopting technology, you're going to be living in a stone age and it's just a matter of time that somebody else will actually overtake you. And I don't want you to become a dinosaur in today's day and age. But let's get into the six points right now. The first way on how to overcome the fear of technology While building a coaching business is to drop the tags and be open to learning. You know, what are the tags? I'm too old, I'm too young, I'm a non technical person. I'm, I'm, you know, whatever, I'm, I'm not having this background, I've not studied this all that is just B.S. if you ask me. Drop those tags and be open to learning. And when you drop the tags it just opens up a whole new world of opportunities because now you're removing the lid off from your head and you're saying that I'm, it does not matter what my background is. All that matters is what I want to put into my head. And that is the first starting point when it comes to overcoming any kind of technology hurdles. And that's what happened in my case. When I entered the diploma in sound engineering course on day one I decided that I'm going to drop this tag saying that I'm not a technical guy but I'm going to become a technical guy in the next three to four months. And I was determined to actually make that happen. The second way to overcome the fear of technology while building a coaching business is, is to stop looking at the peak. Now the peak could be many things. You're looking at people are making lacks of rupees per month, crores every single year. You're looking at many other coaches who are nailing it and doing high flying videos and high five studio setup and all kinds of really crazy audio gear. And you're looking at these creators and influencers and they're like 20,000, 30,000, 40,000 likes on their posts and suddenly you're putting yourself down in a pit and, and you are looking at everybody as the peak and you're thinking that oh man, for me to get to that level of becoming an ultimate coach there are, you know, it's so difficult because I have to literally climb Mount Everest right now. But honestly everybody who achieved anything, even in our community, the Internet lifestyle hub, we have so many crore pathis, we have many 10 crore patis, we have many six figure earners. Everybody started at ground zero. So the secret to overcoming the fear of technology is to stop looking at the peak and just focus on your next step. If you're going through the hackathon, just complete everything at the pace of the hackathon. If you're going through my courses, follow the pace of learning of the courses. In fact, if you're not a part of my community, just go to internetlifestylehub.com on the menu on the top there is something called Path. Click on the path. I've beautifully designed the path. In fact, the brand new path page has been designed and you can go and check it out later yourself. Before I had it as a PDF download, but now I have it as a beautiful visualization on the website itself. So if you follow the path, you won't get overwhelmed by the peak. And when you're going along with the members of the community, especially if you're in the hackathon, I put you into different teams and stuff. It makes the journey so much fun. So you're not focusing so much about the overwhelming when it comes to technology, but you're only focusing on the next step. Now, the third way to overcome the fear of technology in a coaching business is, is to learn one tool or one skill at a time. You don't have to learn everything in one go. What you can do is dedicate one weekend for one tool. So let's say it's going to be a learning management system. Spend one weekend on learning that it's going to be an email marketing system. Spend one weekend on learning that if it's going to be a tracking system, because there are many, there are at least three to four critical systems that I even I use in my business that I recommend for everybody to really get hands on. So. So if you can dedicate one weekend for one tool, spend four to five hours understanding all the features, click on every single part of the tool and with that open mind, you just understand the logic behind how it works and it's easy. The second time you do it, you'll be much faster at it. And that's what happens. Most people, they don't even take that first step and they get stuck in a loop and they're expecting others to do it for them and everything gets delayed, their launch gets delayed and the entire business goes for a toss. So number three is learn one tool or one skill at a time. Number four is the best way to overcome the fear of technology while building a coaching business is to find an accountability partner or a hackathon buddy. Now, if you're not a part of our community, please go to SIDS Co Join and join us. Membership. You can be a part of a hackathon. And once you're in the hackathon, I'm going to be mapping you into teams where you can handhold each other and hold each other accountable as you go through the entire journey. In the current version of the hackathon, I'm mapping people into groups of five. And these five people, they work with each other, they push each other so that they finish the entire hackathon and receive the Freedom Finisher award. So I made this into a really fun game because those of you have this fear of technology. When you're on your own, there's a high probability that you will quit and you'll move over giving excuses that, you know, this is too much for me to handle and stuff like that. But when you have even one or two people on the other side who are pushing you and saying that, hey, you can't give up right now, you got to move forward. You got to like, you know, make this happen no matter what you got, okay? Don't, don't quit right now. When you have those kind of people surrounding you, you will learn technology and you'll start to make progress much faster than ever. Number five, if you want to overcome the fear of technology while building a coaching business, beat the complacent mind. This mind is like a monkey mind. It jumps from one place to the other. Your mind can either be your best friend or your worst enemy. We know that some of you might have heard of this before. Even it's written in the Bhagavad Gita. Also, even Arjuna goes to Krishna and says, I can control the wind, but I can't control my mind. But Lord Krishna tells him that it's okay. Arjuna, even if you can't control the wind, if you can't control your mind, you can. But through practice. Through practice, anything can happen. In the beginning it may be difficult, but later on it gets better. As I say, right? Your environment is stronger than your willpower. And in case some of you here have this issue where you start to do something, you come across some technology and suddenly the mind tells you that, oh no, don't do it right now. No, it is too, it is too difficult or whatever, right? Whenever you come across that situation where you know that your mind is telling you to be more comfortable and complacent, beat it. And how do you do it? Do it anyway. When your mind throws a resistance. Because what will happen is mind is giving you a suggestion to be more comfortable, okay? At that very moment, if you tell the mind, thank you so much for this, but I'm going to do it anyway and see what happens. And you do it. What happens is it's going to trick your mind and you're going to be moving to a next level of productivity or action taking, where the next time the mind tells you the Same thing. You'll actually build that mental muscle of overcoming resistances. This entire game is just a game of resistance. Everybody has resistances, okay? Including myself. I've had different resistances at different stages in my business, and I continue to have different resistances at whatever stage that I'm in. So it never ends. But the whole idea is when you can, when you do something anyway, in spite of the fear being there, whenever your mind throws a resistance, that is going to be your true superpower. And finally, number six, the best way to overcome your fear of technology by building a coaching business is to first list down all the reasons why your dreams must be a priority. Why do you even want to do this coaching business? Why do you want to build communities? Why do you want to really build a business online from the comfort of your home? Like, make a list of at least 21 things on why your dreams must be your priority. Because when you intensify your why, all of the other challenges will become very trivial. For me, when I got deep into understanding the reason why I want to do what I wanted to do, then whatever challenges that keep coming my way, it only becomes, you know, it's only becoming a stepping stone to move up to the next level. And I continue to have challenges at different stages in my business. Sometimes there are product challenges, sometimes there are people challenges, Sometimes there are community challenges. Sometimes there are, you know, external challenges where people are trying to come and just, you know, hack into this community and take customers from here, and all kinds of crazy things happen. But the beautiful thing is, because you have a strong code of honor, we are able to find quick solutions to those challenges by maintaining the sanctity and purity of this community by.
Bringing back the why on the front. Okay. You'll notice in this world, there'll be two kinds of people. The wolves, like, what I'm trying to do is I'm basically trying to create, like, a pack of wolves here. And the wolves have a very strong code of honor. There's an alpha wolf. They're very protective of their family and their community. Yeah. And that's a very good mindset to keep where the wolves have always had this. Even if you've watched the movie, you know, Mowgli and stuff, you know that Mowgli was brought up in a wolf pack, and there's so much of bonding in a wolf pack and support for each other in a wolf pack. But on the other side, you also have the Jackals. The Jackals who go and, you know, work for some tiger, and they come in and they, they feed on other, other people's success. Now you have to identify when situations like this happen. There are wolves and jackals in this entire industry. You would find different kinds of people, and you'll know you can identify one when you see one based on their intent and the way that they operate as a person. That is when you got to really, you know, put on the guard and see how you can actually grow. So how is this connected to technology? As you're growing in your business, you'll also come across all different tools, all different hacks, all different ways of using technology. But who you're learning technology from also matters because once your dreams are made as a priority and you know what is your reason why, and once your values are strong, and then you'll be able to find mentors who are teaching technology who are aligned with your values. Okay, so don't just go to some place and learn something just because somebody is making more money, where if you know that their intention is not in the right place, take that one step back and question yourself like, why are you even in that place? Okay, so the whole idea of why am I sharing this podcast with all of you is to help you understand that to overcome technology, you got to drop the tags, you got to stop looking at the peak. You. You got to learn one tool or one skill at a time. You got to find an accountability partner. You got to beat the complacent mind and intensify your why when this happens, everything becomes much easier for you. I hope you found this podcast useful.
