What Should Be Criteria To Name Your Community?

Siddharth Rajsekar explains why digital communities outperform standalone courses and one-to-one consulting. He shares a three-word naming formula: target market plus goal plus a suffix like Hub, Club, or Academy. Examples include Internet Lifestyle Hub and Entrepreneur Profits Academy.
The best way to build a knowledge business is to build a community around a mission. But the question is, how do you name a community and make it attractive for people to come to you? That's what I'm going to be covering in this podcast. Let's get in.
Hey there. Sidh here. Welcome to yet another episode of the Freedom Business podcast. And if you're not subscribed to this on Apple or Spotify, please make sure you do it right now so that you get all my future episodes and some really awesome content coming your way. So this is going to be a topic around. How do you come up with a name for your community? Especially, especially a digital community. If you're building the community around a particular mission or a particular concept or a topic and you're helping people with your knowledge, whatever you have. Now before I get into the naming, I want to just share the psychology behind why community building is better than other models. And here's the psychology. See, the first model is you can do a course based model. So if you're a knowledge giver you can sell courses, but the problem with this is the course completion rate is very less. Yes, you can make some money selling courses as a knowledge giver, but you won't have retention in your community because you don't have any more engagement with your students after they have bought your course. That's why starting communities is the better thing to do to reinforce engagement and to get them to go through the courses and complete the courses. The second model is a consulting based model. In a consulting or a one to one consulting based model, if you're a life coach or any of that sort, the advantage of that is you have a closer interaction, you can charge premium and you can also deliver an impact with your students or your clients to a much more deeper level as compared to just giving them a course, for example. But again, the challenge with this particular model is that you won't be able to scale unless you build teams because you only have that many hours in a day. So in a one to one consulting model or a high ticket consulting model, you have a time bandwidth that's there. And then you have the third model which is just the program based model where you're going to be delivering your knowledge and information in the form of programs. You do a one day program, two day program, boot camp, a five day program. Again with the program based model, the problem is back to your time energy. It is still one too many. You can impact a lot of people live, but it's depend on Your physical presence to actually make it happen. So that's why I've taken the community based model. But I've encompassed all of this into it. So when anyone buys my membership into the community, they get access to courses, they get access to, you know, my weekly coaching where I answer questions in a group coaching call format. Then I also have like a super high ticket consulting that I do only with 100 people at my quantum level. And even that has been structured in such way where I don't need to give so much of my time, but we leverage the power of the community itself for people to help each other and get the support and get the results.
So what I've basically done is taken all these models and encompass that into the community based model. So when you're selecting a name for your community, the first thing you need to keep in mind is that you need to understand who your audience is, what problem are you solving for the audience and what goal that they're looking out for. Okay. And then you can name your community with the, with the suffix having hub or club or tribe or academy or alliance. You can come up with different names to make people feel that they're a part of something bigger. So before you name the community, now that you understood the power of the community, you need to come up with a mission for the community. For example, the mission for my community, Internet Lifestyle Hub is to help people live a lifestyle of freedom. So I use the word lifestyle in the name of my community. And I want people to live a lifestyle of freedom by using the power of the Internet. And that's why the name of my community is Internet Lifestyle Hub. And of course my. One of my deeper missions of this community is to also create a new breed of teachers and leaders who are leveraging the power of the Internet to grow and succeed. So these are some of the elements that helped me name my community as ILH or Internet Lifestyle Hub. And it is around the mission, the mission to empower people to build a super successful business from home without having any office or employees. So that's the concept behind how I came up with the name. Now, if you are going to be starting from scratch today, the first word of your community could have the target market. Who do you want to target? For example, if you are targeting only entrepreneurs, then the first word can have entrepreneurs. The second word can have the goal of the community. For example, if your goal is to help entrepreneurs create more profits, so the second word can have profits. For example, entrepreneur profits, hub. That becomes your community name or entrepreneur Profits Academy, epa. So the simplest way to name a community is to break it down into three words. Don't have it into more number of words, but each word should represent one of these things. The first word is to it represents the target market. Second word represents the goal. And the third word, you can pick any one that represents the community. Let's say if you're targeting students and maybe young students, or let's look at just students and the goal you want students to achieve is communication. And you can call it like a students communication club, okay, maybe the communication is what you're teaching, but the goal of communication is maybe you want them to become more confident. So you can even call it Student Students Confidence Tribe or Students Confidence Academy. Okay. Or you can even call it Freshers Confidence Academy. If you're targeting this, freshers have just finished and they're just getting into a job and stuff like that. So this is the way that you can think about a naming structure. And if you're already a part of my community, you'll learn more about this when you go into Niche Lady Blueprints. I share a whole bunch of, you know, blueprints where you will be able to download the PDF and come up with all the different goals that people are looking out for, whether it's in the business growth space, or the career growth space, or the health and wellness space, or in the personal development space, or in the relationships of the money and wealth space. Each of these goals can be thought about when you're designing a community. So if you're already a part of my community, just go back to Niche Lady Blueprints, the course and go through all the different blueprints to come up with a really cool name for your community. Keeping in mind that your target market needs to be clear and the goal that you want them to achieve also needs to be clear. Now, if you're not a part of my community, I would highly recommend that you go to Sidz, Sids, Co/, Live, Liv and attend my next webinar to learn more about how you can turn your knowledge into a super powerful business in the next 90 days to six months. Okay? And I give you the entire breakdown of how that can happen. So if you're not a part of the community, please do that. And another important thing is if you're already a part of my community, if you upgrade to diamond membership, I have different membership levels, okay. I have a silver, gold and diamond. You will learn exactly how I'm able to, you know, charge high ticket and also have the freedom without selling my time on a one to one basis and still create that impact for my students where they feel that they're getting the value, they're getting the clarity. And the secret to it is I have empowered facilitators to support others. We have divided them into different teams and we have like a control center for each of the DAO members. Each of them have their own personal control center called Polestar where they will be able to track their progress, they'll be track their habits, track their activities, track their business growth and a whole bunch of other stuff. So before you even come up with launching your community, my suggestion to all of you is to come up with the name first and then implement these ideas to take it to the next level. Thank you so much. I'll catch you in the next episode. If you found this useful, please share your biggest takeaways in the comments below.
