Poitín

So to me, poitín, apart from being a beautiful drink when it's made right, is also a great metaphor for Connemara in that it's independent, it's outlaw, it's beautiful, but it can also drive you crazy. There's many a decent man, toothless, that's ended up in psychiatric hospitals drinking this from the age of about 7. So, but here's to your health and here's to Connemara. Oh, that's gorgeous, lads. Oh Jesus, that's really nice. Oh my God, it's kind of sweet and drinky at the same time. I do feel like lying down in the field. Oh my God.
