Earlier today on Stacy's group call, she started to talk about how we could use her Find your Voice challenge with our groups as a way to monetize our groups. And she specifically mentioned that she has a group for people who have paid for it already and that she intends to send emails to everybody who joins through us. And they could. Those people who participate can participate on her group. And she suggested that, like, say, for your people that are participating in the challenge, you could do something like a double dare, like to have them post their challenge from the find you'd voice in your group as well. And I actually came into the stacyverse, as we like to call it, came into the stacyverse through another, like, paid challenge that I did for bookkeeping. It's one of Stacy's friends, Margie. And Margie has created this actually incredible set of courses herself to help people help bookkeepers get certified for Intuit's QuickBooks Online, which is like, one of the biggest platforms that bookkeepers use. But she found from, like, talking with her clients that the hardest thing for bookkeepers is to find clients. And so she had this idea of having a September challenge where we were going to learn how to do, like, simple marketing on LinkedIn and how to reach out to people on LinkedIn and all that sort of thing. And essentially she folded in Stacy's find your Voice challenge into the group. And Stacy wasn't running a live cohort at that point. So basically what Margie did was literally incorporate it into her thing. So she had certain things she, Margie wanted us, like, to do these content things, content challenges, content creation and reaching out. But she also included. And it worked, like, perfectly in the month, the way it just fell to do the 17 challenges of the Find your Voice challenge. So since it wasn't a live cohort at that point, what she essentially did is she had her virtual assistant actually create guides and put each day's challenge as a guide and posted the link to Stacy's video describing the challenge. And then sometimes Margie herself would do some of these dares, but her VA did every single one. And her VA was on top of when we did them. And she responded to everybody. She was so kind. She was so considerate. She encouraged people along because, let's just say a group of bookkeepers is not like the most.
What I want to say, extroverted group, you know? And it was important for us, even for Margie's challenge, to be able to find our voice. And we would feel comfortable reaching out to strangers, sending notes to strangers. Putting content out there when people who don't typically put out content. And I have to say, having been a part of this cohort.
The find your voice challenge was literally the best part of the challenge. You know, we learned about, like, Stacy's comfort circles, and we. I think we. Almost all of us started. There's about 80 people in the group. Almost all of us started at that first comfort circle where we were typing the dares. Then some people started doing, like, the. The voice record of just, like, turning your phone around, you know, kind of a thing, or hitting the button to turn your phone around. So it's looking out at somebody's backyard or something, and they can, like, talk it. So they're doing essentially, like, a voice memo. And, like, I was really comfortable, like, recording things I used to record. All of. Not really record, but use vi. Voice. Voice to text, to write my reviews that I would put on Amazon in different places. So I was really comfortable just, like, getting my obs studio and. And just doing it. I would always pick, like, a picture that went along with the dare because I'm very visual, and it helps me to get into something to find a picture to represent it. So I would put up a picture and just talk about my. My. My dare and then upload that. And by the end of the challenge, I actually got up to. I think I did. In that challenge, I did two Facebook lives within that group, and my first. My first thing of ever doing lives on Facebook. And so the challenge. I cannot tell you how much this changed this little challenge group. It. As we started to get to know each other, it's like we became friends and we. And it wasn't just a va. Encouraging people. It was us encouraging people. Oh, thank you so much for sharing that or sharing that or. You did great. You know, someone said, like, they were nervous trying to do a live yo. You did great. You were fantastic. I don't think even Margie understood, like, the power of this, because at the end of this, all of us are just like, we want to stay together. It was just supposed to be the September challenge. You know, we want to stay together. We want to do something. And between you. You mean the fence post? I actually think Margie missed an opportunity of. We were now, like, enthusiasts of that challenge of her brand. She actually could have essentially invited us into her free group because she has a free group as, like, her new experts, her new, you know, people who are there, like, yay, this is awesome kind of thing. She. She could have done that. Another thing that was Fun, too. Like, I definitely felt like certain, certainly certain pockets of us really did become friends and, and different people in different posts. Like, you know, that we did want to stick together, and two people, like, kept track of that. And actually two groups were offshoots of this group because we did want to stay together. One of them was like, shall we say, the more serious people who wanted, like, accountability partners, and they just wanted, you know, to continue, let's just keep encouraging each other to do X, Y and Z to get our clients.
And so there was the accountability group, and then there another offshoot was like a DM group on Facebook where it's just like, we're just going to come to each other for questions and support. It was just kind of random. And that's the group that I joined in section. It's called Friends and Bookkeeping. And so it was only, like, I think it was only five or six of us people. But I cannot tell you how, like, incredibly active this little DM group has been. And people have asked questions about bookkeeping, about setting up a business, or about personal different things. And some of these people have actually say, joined my random recommendations group, and they've had their friends join the random recommendations group. So it's interesting how this stuff can just ripple out and you just, you, you. I never would have seen it from, like, a rather staid content creation, you know, bookkeeping challenge group. Oh, and one thing that was fun, like, how people were, like, supportive on the group and how much we got to know each other. There's one of these 17 dares, because I. I was one of the people. I was just. I was committed. I was gonna do every dare, whether it was going to be, you know, type voice record, pre record, or live. At the end. I'm. I'm like, I'm just gonna do them every day. I'm gonna check these out, I'm gonna watch Stacy's video, and boom, I'm gonna do it. And I got to this one. It was one of the later dares. I'd already done, like, a bunch of them, and I was working up my comfort circles, but I got to this one. I'm just like, I'm drawing a total blank.
It was the car one because, like, I don't know cars, like, at all. I don't care about cars. Basically every car I've ever had has been something I inherited from somebody. No. No care whatsoever about cars. Don't know anything about them. So I'm just like, I don't know enough about cars to know what kind I'm supposed to be. So just like, I actually kind of went back and forth on it. It was like, I swear it was like the only date I was like late on or like a couple days late, but I actually kept like trying to think about it. And so I actually then just did a pre record video. I said, okay, I have really tried on this dare, but I just do not know cars, you know, and so I, I can't, I can't do this dare. And so the beauty of that, because it was a later dare and we were all getting to know each other, I had like, I think like three people jump on and say, oh, we've seen you, Jamie. We think you're this kind of car. I never even thought that would be a thing. But it was so fun to see how people perceived me from what they thought of me as they learned about me from the dares. So if you haven't experienced Stacy's find, you'd voice, and if you really do truly incorporate it into your community, it can be like the game changer for your community where it becomes the thing, the. That makes your group not just a group, but a true community where you get to know each other beyond.
Superficial things, where you get to see a little bit of fear, we get to see a little bit of uncertainty. And then all of a sudden, you're not just a group, but you're a community. You're people who are learning about each other, people who learn to care about each other. These seeming strangers who could be all across the country, all across the globe. So I just wanted to share that there's multiple ways that you can incorporate this into your community. And we have some time before this is going to happen. And I, I would encourage you to think about how you want to use this. And I definitely encourage, especially if your group is small enough to do something similar to, like what I saw happen in the bookkeeping challenge group is, you know, in some way, don't just leave it out there in, in Stacy's wonderful, wonderful thing that she's giving us to have them be a part of a group already that is about that challenge. But truly bring it into your group, whether it's. You're commenting on it, whether you're saying bring your dare over here or if you're, you're doing something more active, like actually putting, you know, here's the link to the dare, you know, here it is. Or here's the link to the, to the video. Here's what it is. And do the dare yourself and comment on people's dares, whether you do that in your group or in Stacey's group for it. But, like, get actively involved with it because you will be amazed what will happen in your community if you do so. Anyway, I just wanted to share that. Throw that out there for. For an idea. If you like it and if you want to discuss it, we can do that in the comments or you can DM me about my experience. I'm. I'm happy to share because it's, you know, it was my introduction to what we're doing here, and it's kind of what spurred me on to continue, you know, to find out more about what Stacy's doing and become a part of the wealth experiment. You know, my initial find your voice challenge, which Stacy was not a part of, is what has changed my life in these last four months, you know, since September. Four months. Yes. You know, so just wanted to offer that as food for thought.
