Lyn Diane Thought She Had to Be Ready. She Didn’t.

This is a transcript of a walking conversation between Stacey Lauren and Lyn Diane about Lyn launching her first public "do the thing" style challenge (a branded "find your voice" challenge tailored to Lyn). They cover emotional barriers (overthinking, fear of going live), the community benefit of running a short challenge to get feedback and build confidence, and a simple, actionable launch plan: run pop-up "promote your X" parties (book, business, masterclass) to recruit participants, create a registration page, offer a $47 paid challenge with an optional VIP upsell, and schedule the campaign quickly (a pop-up party as soon as this week; challenge ~3 weeks out). The conversation emphasizes starting despite imperfection and using live practice to validate offers and create momentum.

Oh my gosh. Hello, you guys.
How are you? Okay, so we are walking with Lynn and why don't you introduce yourself for everybody?
Okay, so my name is Lynn. Diane, the dream launch queen. I love that.
I love that. Okay, so we are walking and we just decided to start talking. She has access. She's a movement maker, brand new. Just joined in the last cohort and we're talking about her hosting her first do the thing challenge.
Yeah. Challenge. And I've done people parties before. Pop up people parties. But there's just some decisions when it comes to my own self. Like if it's for somebody else, I'm like, yes, let's do this. Let's do this fast. Probably the way Stacy's doing it.
Yeah.
But for me, I start to overthink. What should I call it? What do they really need? And then I'm stuck in that overthinking mode. And of course, nothing like going for a walk with Stacy to activate our bodies and our bravery.
Oh, I love that.
To get going on what we feel stuck on.
I love.
So she's helping me with that today.
That's so good. Okay, so first I think what we should do is tap into like, kind of like the feeling of the challenge. So the challenge that you have a license to host, you have a license to host all of them. But the first one that we're going to do is the find your voice challenge. You're going to do your own version of that. Meaning like you'll get to use the delivery that we already have. And then your kind of like sweet sauce is like the caking. You know, caking is the cake. Yeah, but let's talk about it first, cuz you've done this challenge and maybe talk about how it felt to be inside of an experience. And I think you even did it inside of another group, which is kind of cool. Cuz you got to see it. Not in the do the thing community. It was inside like Eileen Wilder's group. So let's start there. Tap into the why and what people are gonna feel.
Yeah, the feeling is that you just kind of think you're all alone in this entrepreneur journey. And when you're doing something like a find your voice or do the thing challenge, the biggest thing that I know Stacy did this for is for community. And you really feel so connected to the community. But whatever you're sharing, you immediate get, you immediately get feedback on what is resonating with who's listening. So it's just like immediate encouragement, whereas we can so get Stuck on, like, let me build my funnel first. Let me build my email sequences. Let me get my logo just right. Whereas all of that doesn't truly matter as we're just starting and getting proof of concept and really finding the best way to serve whoever we're around. So with doing it in the community, right away, you really get to find out, okay, what resonates with people, what do people really need right now, what's working, what doesn't stick? And you just, like, build confidence, like, going live. Oh, my gosh. That was absolutely terrifying for me. I didn't know how to do it. Pressing all the wrong buttons. Like, my hand was shaking. And that activated me to start going live in another group. And that also helped some of them start to get out of their comfort zone and go live more.
I love that. What group was that?
It was the one that we did our collaboration book with.
Oh, right.
I just challenged myself as I was learning to do this.
Yeah.
Like, it wasn't for anything except for, like, okay, this is. This is helping me somehow, so I'm just gonna do it here. Maybe other people will join in and feel activated too. And they. Some of them did really start to connect with it and feel empowered.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I love that. So what do you think, like, your special sauce will be, like as you're. You, like, helping people launch their dreams, Having seen the challenge, like, how do you think you'll get? And again, you don't need to know, but, like, how do you think you might get activated?
So I just really love to hear everybody's stories, and our stories is so connected with our purpose, like, the pain that we have experienced and what our purpose is and what our vision and goals are. So as I get to hear how people are, what they're, what they're really trying to achieve or struggling with, then I know the best way to serve them. I can create, like, a free class or training or bring in experts or create paid challenges so that you can really jump in, like, with the do the thing challenges, master classes, and including offers.
Yeah, that's so good. Okay, so our goal today is we are helping Lynn host this challenge in the this fastest way possible. Because as soon as she kind of, like, gets trained to host the challenge, then everything's gonna get, like, activated for her and for the people. And whether that's her doing it in her own community, her partnering with someone else and doing it in their community, that is my goal right now. So you're gonna see this. Okay.
I just thought I was going For a walk. She's doing her thing again. But that's why I love her. I all love her.
I think, like, what is. I was just talking to Brie about this last night. I'm like, once, like, you were like, once. You're, like, totally freed. Yeah. From, like, all of this, then think of how many people will be, like, helped.
That's who it's all about. I just. It's like, you know that. And I think every single person who really has, like, a. Feels like they have a purpose and a dream.
Feel that.
Like, yeah, this is for somebody else. This is for somebody who needs it. But then we start to be like, well, what should I call it and when should I do it? And let me check my husband's schedule. And like, you just.
Yeah.
Start coming up with all this stuff, and then that delay just robs us and other people from their dream.
Yeah. So good.
Yeah.
Well, so, okay. So the biggest thing with the challenge is the delivery is done for this one. So you don't have to do anything other than every day you're uploading the dare into whatever group you're going to do it in.
Yes.
And then you're doing a kickoff party, and then like once a week, kind of like check ins and then like a celebration party. So it's a very simple. Very simple.
And this is what I'm already doing.
Yeah.
Just not in the big group setting.
Yes. So. Yeah.
Yeah. And I liken this too, because I did homeschooling for many years. Like I was telling Stacy, it's just, you know, like, what we teach others, too, is just being a chapter head.
Yeah.
And we just.
For.
Stacy was just saying you just got to be a day ahead. And I'm used to doing that, so.
So good. So you've already been conditioned to do that. So the question is, where do we want to start? So we could do one thing which is like, you already have. You just started your Facebook group Yesterday. You have 20 people in there.
Right.
So those 20 people are primed. You have a license to sell the challenge, so you could charge $47 for it. If you want to do VIP, you can do a higher price, but whatever is going to get you to, like, kind of like, basically we're just trying to, like, we're in college now. Yeah. Learning the skills to, like, run it, you know? Yeah. And so that's one way it's inviting those people. You first can invite them to your party. We can talk about the party in a minute and then use that to invite them to the challenge. Or you could just directly invite people to the challenge. Whatever feels better to you. The other way that I still think is pretty, maybe even, like, like, really good, because it feels so primed for that is the people that you're already, like, doing that book with. And so let's kind of talk about that and just see if that there's, like, potential there.
Yeah. So, I mean, I know some of them just even joined my group and. And I care very, very much about their goals and their success, so I would love to help them with that. And I think what you just said, which is those who are even already in and I can keep inviting, is that if I invite them along with anybody else that's already in the group to, like, it's like a nice, like, Facebook launch kickoff, and they could do it free. But then, like you said, I could offer a vip, like, extra time.
Yeah.
With them. I don't know what that would look like.
Yeah. They tell you. Yeah. They tell you. Yeah. Because, like, in the make money online challenge, it was really fun. We crowdsourced the vip. Yeah. And everyone just told us what they wanted. And then. Yeah. Out of the 40 people that joined, 38 of them paid 97 for a VIP.
Yes.
Yes.
That was the extra time that they got to consult with Scott.
Right? Yeah.
Yeah, That's. That's so amazing and important.
Yeah.
So great idea.
So I want to still stay with the book just for a minute, because I feel like there. This is, like, could be really fun and simple. Is. Did you think about going yet to the, like, person that, like. Because I know we talked about this a little on the intensive, but, like, the person that, like, kind of coordinated the book, like, with all the authors.
Not yet. I think they're. They're shifting gears or she's shifting gears. So I. Not ready for that yet. But as far as, like, my group, who's already friends and I could. It's just such a great way to keep them going.
Yeah.
So I think I'm more focused on that.
Okay. Yeah. So what could be good is whenever you're doing a my people party, you always want to think about, like, what's going to draw people in, but you still like to do. Yeah. So, like, when I'm even thinking about the book, people, you know, that just, like, wrote a chapter in the book. What is their focus right now they're focused on promoting the book. Right. Are they wanting eyeballs on the book?
So. Well, it's more like that many of them have some of Them have like physical businesses that are like functional medicine. Some of them are coaches that are just launching a certain part of coaching.
We're going through a tunnel. Creepy. Yeah.
It's really in your business. But their. Their name and what they're getting to.
Do is getting to be marketed through the book.
So it's a great way to. To share with others and gather them.
And say, yeah, guys, we got a.
Best selling book and I love that.
And yeah. Yeah. So what's coming out? This is what I love about doing this. Like walking. Because I mean, this might not have come if you're just like sitting is like what's really cool. And I've noticed this with do the thing. It's like there's one thing in my heart which is like, I just want to help people have like deep fulfillment.
Yes.
And purpose. But like, you don't hear me really talking about that as much. You know.
Right.
I'm talking more about like doing the thing, finding your voice. Because I know the result of people doing the thing, finding their voice is I feel like we're gonna need to stop and look at the water.
Is.
Is deep purpose and fulfillment. Right. And so the sexy thing though is like starting your podcast, building your audience. Do you see what I'm saying? Yeah.
And so many of them are wanting to build a podcast or launch either another book that they're on. Authoring just themselves.
Yeah.
And becoming speakers. So.
Yes. That's really great.
I never really noticed that. I mean, I know that it brings out these challenges. Bring out people sharing their purpose and acknowledging it and getting feedback on it.
Yeah.
But I didn't notice how you really are not like, hey, find your purpose.
Like, yeah, yeah.
That doesn't work. Resonate as much. Right.
It's just. That's a result. It's almost like a hidden benefit. Yes. Of it. And I'm almost wondering if the challenge you're gonna do and this could be a party or a challenge could be like promote your book or promote your business. Because in find your voice. That's what they're doing. They're like learning how to put themselves out.
Yeah.
You know, and being able to like be real. Yeah. Like on camera.
Just like me when I was first starting. Is that. And still a little bit now. Is that to. We want to come out perfect. We want to come out like having succeeded a certain way before we share or. But we need to have this messy middle.
Yeah.
Journey which is so relatable and attractive. And I just. I want myself and them to. To to own that so that we just keep improving and getting better and drawing the right people to our voices.
I love that. So what do you think about doing two parties? One is called, like, promote your book party, and then the other one could be called promote your business party. Oh, I love that. You could kind of just see which one draws more people. In one of the parties you're having, people talk about their books. Yes. They get to talk about where it's located. People can, you know, if they want to buy it, they could buy it. And then from there you're inviting them to the challenge. You could call the challenge, like, promote your thing, you know, and then keep in mind, though, you're still dream. You're still dream launching them because you're helping them promote their book. Yeah. Does that make sense?
They created a book because it's part of. Of their dream.
Yeah.
And part of their dream is tied in with what they share in the book. So it is all encompassing. I love this.
Yeah.
So smart.
Yeah. So I would do two parties and I would do one is promote your book. And the find your voice challenge is the thing. I mean, they're going to call it promote your whatever it could be promote your thing challenge. I think that would be so fun. And then what they get though is the find your voice, you know, like on the inside, and I'll explain how to connect it together. Yeah. So I think this is going to be really popular.
Yeah, I love it.
Yeah.
And it's so easy. Like you that seem like I was just trying to dive so deep in something, like a creative name just for the pop up party.
Yeah.
So. Yeah.
So then what I would do today is I would create the registration page and just call it like, like do a 47 challenge. You like the idea of VIP? So I would do a 97 VIP. Put whatever you think sounds good. Just initially, don't spend too much time on it because what's going to happen is during your first party, you're gonna. When you invite them to the challenge, you're gonna ask them what would they want for vip? And maybe some people will say, I.
Want you to promote my book, you.
Know, and then you can, you can like do a party. Yeah, you could do like a do the thing party, maybe, you know, where we could promote it. Oh, yeah.
Like you do when people.
Yeah. Maybe they all get to talk about their book or something. There's a lot of different opportunities, you know, and so then what you do, once they've crowdsourced the vip, you find out what they want, then you could add it to the registration page after. So when you do the second party, you actually are able to tell them what it is. I think this will be really fun.
Oh, I love this idea. And they're getting to just. They're gonna feel so empowered after getting to promote their thing. And if people are even, like, live buying.
Yeah.
Like. Like some of the courses that you did. But having that opportunity to share it with people in a safe space.
Yeah.
Because I love this.
Yeah. And there's a whole nother layer we. We could talk about after. But technically, now, after, at the end of the challenge, there's, like, options. They could either upgrade directly into your program, or we could even talk about how you can help them create their own challenge. There's a lot of stuff that, like, you see what I mean? That you could do, because the Dream Lift, the dream launch, is inside of you helping someone.
Yeah.
Promote their business. Because that's what super bloom is anyway. Yes. You know what it is. That's literally what it is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's been insane sleep mode, which people thought it was in their. Their dreams were in dead mode, but actually in sleep mode because it's just like, it. It's. It's dreams that we set aside that because we were helping other people's dreams are, you know, too busy to. Because we're elevating other people's dreams.
So.
But now if it's. If it's in your heart, you just know that it's like, okay, this is not meant to die.
This is.
It's something that needs to come out.
Yeah.
And it's meant to help so many people and not just ourselves. And that's what, like, if you ever see a super bloom in a desert, it's just miraculous. And people need that. People need that hope and that encouragement, and they want to super bloom too when they see it.
Oh, my gosh, this is so good. So what's great about this is you could take this live now, after we're done, and you can, like, take everything that you just said, and that's your copy for your registration page.
I love the dude, I think.
And so, like, so then you have, like, two actions later. One is tell everyone when you want to have your party, like, let's. Let's announce it here.
Literally wondering if it's too. Too early to do it on, like, tomorrow or Friday. I love that. I know you. You do things really fast. You've. You've been growing a lot of stuff.
Yeah.
So. But I. I Thought about just doing my first popup party this week for sure. And so either tomorrow or Friday and. And then the challenge I think you recommended is like 3 weeks from this week and. And I'm going to be traveling mid August anyway, so.
Yeah. Yeah, no, I love it. That sounds perfect.
Do you don't think tomorrow's too early?
I don't think so. And we also have an active challenge inside black card, so you can mention it to them that you're having it. So you have people in there, you have people in here, you have your people, you have the. All the people that you just did the collaboration book with. Yes, I would personally message them and tell them like personally message them. Send them like a voice message. Yeah. And just say I'd love to invite you. I'm doing this party, you know, decided to do it kind of last minute because who can wait, you know? Yeah.
Who better to, for them to join a challenge with than somebody that like already truly cares about you. They know how much I absolutely love and treasure each one of them. So.
Yeah. Yeah. So then the party. So you could do a registration page. Just a simple one. And then whenever I'm like out of time, I just do event break because it's like easy but shaft form is fine.
Yeah, I'm just using ad events.
Oh, oh yeah, that's perfect. Yeah. As long as you can collect emails, then it's great.
Oh yeah.
I always like to say like what are you hoping. As long as there's a place for a question like what are you hoping to like achieve in this? And then you'll. People will tell you what they want. So. And then I would also create the registration page for the challenge and put the copy that you, you said here and then have the payment link.
Okay.
Also so that way you could invite them at the party. Yeah. To the challenge.
So is the, just to clarify, is the pop up party called promote your book or your.
Yeah.
Or is.
Yeah.
Is that what the challenge is called?
Yeah, so I actually think both.
Oh, okay.
I think you kind of like even, you know, like promote your question mark. I don't know, like it doesn't matter. No one really cares. It's just we're promoting something, you know, I mean it's even like promote your master class. Right. Like so then you get like more people interested, you know, so like that. Yeah. So every party. Yeah. Because before the challenge you'll do like three or four parties and you get to like test, you know, each one like specifically like one could be promote your Master class, you know, and then at that party, you're inviting them to this challenge, you know, then another one could be promote your book. And it'd be so fun where everyone could just, like. I could just see, like, a round table of, like, everyone talking about their book. That's one party. Another one is everyone talking about their master class. That's another party. Another one's everyone talking about their business. You know, so. And then out. Out of all those three parties, you should get, like, 25.
Oh, yeah, that'll be. And this can to be so fun. And it just like.
Yeah.
I can't wait to see people finally, like, sharing what they really have been wanting to do.
Yeah.
And it just, like, taking a little bit of time or momentum.
Yeah.
To get it going.
So good. Okay, we will finish this moment. Oh, we'll show you guys the beach first. Yeah. First share. How are you feeling now that you're like, you've got your party kind of, like, coming?
It just makes so much sense now. And I love how you make it easy. I'm super excited because when it cut, like I mentioned before, when it comes to myself, I'm like, oh, I don't want just people to think that. I want them to just do this, like, to be part of my thing. It's it. And for them to immediately have that freedom to say, hey, I'm sharing what I'm doing. And people might even by, like, in this next couple weeks.
Yeah.
And so they'll be excited. They'll have more proof of concept. They'll see what's working. So that. That really activates me to just be like, yeah, let's get it out there. This is for them.
Yeah. I love that. Oh, my gosh. So good. All right, you guys, here we go. You heard it here. Movement maker.
Movement maker.
Okay, we'll show you the where we are. There's no tsunami. You're on the beach, and we are safe. And it's amazing. And. All right, you guys do the thing. Don't wait for opportunity.
Creative.
Bye. Thank you. So fun.
