A short YouTube interview-style monologue where the speaker (creator Stacey Lauren) reflects on recent achievements—restarting and progressing in a master's program—and future aspirations, especially travel. The speaker describes living in Kuwait as enabling travel to less-common destinations and emphasizes writing daily goals/affirmations to stay focused.
And so my first question is, what's something you've done recently that you're really proud of? I started on my master's, so I started it several years ago and picked it back up. So I'm proud of myself for getting back into it.
And finish it. Amazing. What do you think helps you do that.
Time? Like feeling that in order to kind of further my career, that I needed to do that in order to go to the next level. So good. What's something that you're looking forward to that you haven't done yet?
I feel fortunate in that I get to travel quite a bit. So I would, I guess I would say continue to travel and experience new places and new cultures. So the opportunity to do that is exciting. And what do you think helps you will help you reach that? Well, I live abroad, I live in the Middle East, I live in Kuwait. So my location has allowed me to go to places that I wouldn't normally go to and go to countries that I wouldn't have otherwise traveled to if I had only been in the States. So I think that has opened up opportunities and it allows me to kind of fill that need to travel and find more places that I haven't been to that are kind of off the map for most people. So if you had one piece of advice for helping people do the thing and they're going to miss anything for travel, what would it be?
I would say I'm not a firm believer in manifestation, but my friends have really encouraged me to affirm, you know, affirmations, daily affirmations of goals. And I write, I've started writing down daily goals and daily successes for each day. And I think that kind of focuses my. My goals and allows me to really pinpoint what I'm trying to do instead of just kind of being, oh, I want to do this, but how do I do it? You know, specific goals.
