Steve Griswold reviews a Sandals resort that had rough early years but has since improved dramatically. The pool and staff training issues that plagued it 2–2.5 years after opening are now fixed, and he calls the current service the best he's experienced at any Sandals property.

So I've got to tell you the truth here. When this resort first opened, I think if I didn't tell you already, about 2, 2 and a half years ago, if you search the internet, the reviews, god, the reviews were awful. So I don't know what happened when it first opened. I don't know if it was just kind of growing pains. There was an issue with the pool. It's been all resolved. The pool is amazing. So if you see that, everything's been resolved. The service, I think the service level when it first opened, they were training people, so they were having some issues with that. But the service, I think this is probably the best service I've had at any Sandals resort.
