This is a YouTube video titled "Leading With Empathy #leadership #shorts" containing a monologue by a single speaker discussing the four key aspects of leading with emotional intelligence, focusing on self-awareness, emotional regulation, recognizing emotions in others, and social awareness in leadership. The content is from December 12, 2024.
Here's the four things that you need to know if you're going to lead with emotional intelligence. Number one is you need to be self aware, kind of in tune with your own emotions. Number two, you need to be able to regulate your own emotions. It's not enough to know about them. You've got to be able to manage your own emotions. Number three gets a little more tricky. You've got to spot the emotions and other people. In order to do that, you've got to pay attention to emotions in general. And number four, you've got to have a social awareness to be able to manage situations where others have emotions that are coming out. It's not just enough about self regulation, it's about regulating other people's emotions by the way you respond. Emotional intelligence is critical in leadership.
