This is a YouTube video titled "Relationships affect accountability #leadership #shorts" containing a monologue or talk from April 12, 2024, discussing how relationships influence accountability within teams and the importance of building rapport to increase responsibility among team members.
When we talk about accountability, one of the things that we don't really touch on as much is the impact of relationships. When we feel that we have a relationship or a rapport built with another individual and then they ask us for something, there's an internal drive in order to complete the task for our friend or the person that we have a relationship with, that relationship doesn't exist and an ask is made. Well, maybe it's just, you know, a name through email. We don't feel that same sense of obligation. If we're looking at increasing accountability within our teams, we really need to look at developing relationships between those individuals.
