Most of our contradictions start with actually the right intention or sometimes convenient excuses. And, you know, we tell ourselves we're being patient with somebody, so we avoid having a recovery conversation. We tell ourselves we're giving someone grace, so we don't give them the fair opportunity to correct it through a recovery conversation. We tell ourselves that the person's too valuable to lose, while they're completely eroding the culture in your organization, not because of what they're doing, but because you as the leader have blessed it by not addressing it. See, here's the thing. Sometimes patience is just avoidance with better branding.
