As a leader or as a parent, Your job is not to solve their problem. It's to teach them how to solve their problem. Do they always solve it? No. Then you've got to provide some guidance. We want to focus on getting for people, not just from people. And we need to stop driving and start guiding. Inspiration is not a precursor to action. It's the thing that keeps you going. Action creates inspiration. We should be having ongoing conversations that are just normalized, where we're trying to grow each other, we're trying to look out for the best for each other. You're still leading with fear and title unless you've got some level of connection. It's not that people have to follow you. You want to get to where people want to. I was in a class that Steve was leading, and I thought it was exceptional. His ability to communicate, his ability to really address a subject was outstanding.
