This is a YouTube video titled "Using Positives to Address Future Negatives #leadership #shorts" containing a discussion between two speakers about leadership communication, accountability, and the importance of balancing tough conversations with positive reinforcement. The content was created in February 2024 and focuses on leadership growth and effective communication strategies.
As long as the leader is communicated properly, where the individual understands their responsibilities and the actual actions that they need to take to perform the duty, then it should be fairly clear. And I agree with you, accountable typically is when someone says, you're held, you're being held accountable, and it's a bad situation. Right. No one ever comes up to you and say, hey, great job this month. You hit all your responsibilities. You are so, you're so accountable. We don't use it in that context.
I think there's the gap when you say, like, no one does. And I will tell you, my growth as a leader continues to evolve. And one of the things that I was coached on very early, it's a lot easier to have tough conversations when you also have kind, reinforcing conversations. To say, you did that well, keep doing it.
