Comprehensive exams test your ability to synthesize material and build arguments, not memorize every fact from past courses. The speaker explains what examiners actually want to see and invites you to join a Dissertation Help Group for preparation support.
One thing a comprehensive exam is not: it's not a dump all the knowledge that's ever been created in all of the courses you've taken. It's not that. The idea is, do you understand the material? Not have you memorized everything, but can you synthesize the material to come up with cogent arguments and discussions about specific topics? I've also worked with a number of people to prepare for their comprehensive exams. If you're interested, become a member of our Dissertation Help Group.
