Phenomenology captures what it actually felt like to live through something. Use it when you want participants describing their lived experience of a specific event, like first-responders after trauma or parents navigating their child's school change.
Chapters
When you think of phenomenology, think of lived experience. You're looking at the lived experience of participants. When do you want to use it? Well, if you're asking people, "Hey, what was it like to go through a certain experience?" Then you're looking for their lived experience. Examples: What are the lived experiences of first responders going through a traumatic event? What are the lived experiences of parents whose children have changed schools? We're getting deep into their personal lived experience. Drop the word "help" in the comments, and I'll send you the link for our free dissertation help community.
