Steve Tippins advises recent PhD graduates on what slows down their official completion after defending. You need to hit university deadlines, submit to the right place, and pass form-and-style checks on fonts and formatting. Get those done, then actually relax.
You defended on March 15th. Great. You got everything tied up. You made all your adjustments. It's March 23rd. What does your university say the deadline is to turn things in? And to what department? And do you have to go through something which can be called form and style or checking the template of what you've submitted, the font? So understand what the university ultimately wants and then turn it in to meet the deadlines. It's not a research project. It's just following the rules and turning things in. Once you've done that, you can really sit back and first of all, maybe breathe, relax a little bit.
