Defending your dissertation doesn't mean you graduate. The registrar's deadlines, not your defense, determine when you actually graduate, and students often miss them by days. Check the registrar's calendar and work backwards from those dates to plan your timeline.
You passed your dissertation defense. Your committee loved it. Then you find out you aren't actually graduating this semester. Why? Because you missed a hidden deadline by like 2 days. You treated the defense like the finish line, but the university does not. To the registrar, the administrative paperwork is the only thing that matters. So instead of mapping your plan forward, you have to work backward from their calendar. Comment "help" and we will send you the link to our free dissertation help community. You've got this!
