The Diamond Hour presents 10 Steps to Healing emotions. Your host, Steve Barnes. Now, originally, this was called 10 Steps to Healing your heart. But understand, I'm not just talking about heartbreak in the romantic sense. Although everything I'm saying certainly applies. I'm talking about any arena where too much fear or too little love has crippled your ability to express yourself fully. Where have you let either stop you? Your career, social connections, fitness and health. Creative output doesn't matter. These 10 steps, culled from a lifetime of study and organized along the steps of the hero's journey, of course, will work either with a specific issue or a generative need. In other words, if you follow the steps, you will receive benefits far beyond the issues you may be consciously aware of. This is the good stuff. Now, step number one. Acknowledge that you need healing. No human being makes it through life unscathed. We all carry war wounds, scars, disappointments, pain, fear, grief, resentment, and anger. Life kicks the living crap out of you. If you can't keep your balance and protect your open heart. Tell the truth about this Critical Musashi Miyamoto's first principle. Do not think dishonestly. That means the ability to admit that there is an issue is the single most important critical step. Without it, you will not take action. Let yourself feel the pain of betrayal, disappointment, failure, breaking your word to yourself, losing love. All of these things can be used to motivate. Ask yourself the question, where have scrambled emotions damaged your life? Remember, the quality of your questions will determine the power of your answers. What if the answer is frightening? Well, then you have to gain clarity on the positive results you want. The way your life will look, the benefits to family and community. If you can, tap into your full potential as a human being. And if you can't do that, then try this. Visualize or mentalize the child. You were innocent and hopeful and new to the world. That child needs your protection. You are the only one who can protect her. Vow to give her all the love she needs, all the protection she needs, that her mommy or daddy is here now and will never leave her alone again. And then put your love in front of you, your fear behind you, and run like hell. But the first step is to acknowledge that there is work to do. Once you've done that, you can begin to align the resources and allies necessary to heal. What's your next step? Go to www.diamondhour.com and sign up for the free Diamond Hour list. Or go to the Route 101 board and sign up for the free 101 board to brainstorm about body, mind, relationships and career. Take action. Get busy. This is Stephen Barnes of the Diamond Hour reminding you that it is your responsibility to be the hero in the adventure of your lifetime. Thank you so much. See you next time.
